Monday's Shoot - Abby

Image
Over the weekend Abby and I talked about getting together for another round of photos. Earlier this year we shot during the day of WWE Summer Slam prior to watching the show. With their Extreme Rules pay-per-view on Saturday we thought about doing the same. Ultimately, things did not go to plan Saturday afternoon, but we did manage to reschedule for today. That turned out to be a good thing too because today was about 10 degrees warmer. The only thing we had some issues with was where to shoot. I had a few spots in mind, but we kept striking out with too many people being present at each. Instead we were able to adjust and find spots near those places that worked out perfectly. These are the sets that we were able to do. Set 1: Black Sneakers & Socks I told Abby to bring a pair of sneakers along today. We were keeping things casual and sneakers can be done in most places. After striking out at our first two locations, I saw a community center with several ball fields nearby. We ma

Saturday's Shoot - Allie

Image
Allie's back! Today's shoot marks her first new sets of 2022 and if I'm being honest, I missed her and those adorable size 5's so much! Allie has been one of my most dependable models over the last two years, so it's great having her back.  Originally, Allie and I made plans to meet to shoot last week. With it being the end of September, I wasn't sure if the sunlight would be ideal for the hour she was open. We talked about it, nixed those plans, and rescheduled for today. We couldn't have asked for a better day either. There was a light breeze, and although mostly cloudy when we began, the sun did poke out for the most part. Since Allie had plans later in the afternoon, we decided to meet up a little before noon to get underway. We lucked out that our desired photo location was open to use without a person in sight. We've struck out in the past with showing up to places only to find them overly crowded. We did have to find another place to shoot the se

Thursday's Shoot - Kelsey

Image
Kelsey and I have not had the best luck in 2022 when it comes to rain. Both shoots this year have saw rain in the forecast and we've had to adjust our plans for both days. Thankfully we didn't cancel either day and made the best of both situations. Seriously, both shoots resulted in some of my favorite sets I've been able to shoot this year. Maybe rain is our good luck charm? If you missed Kelsey's return in July, her first shoot since 2016, be sure to read, " Wednesday's Shoot - Kelsey ." We managed four sets that day, squeezing them in before the skies let loose. Yesterday's shoot had us waiting for the rain to finish instead. The forecast said the storms would move out of the area by 2 p.m. That left us a few hours to see what we could come up with. I didn't have any places or themes in mind, unless you count the muddy set. I joked with Kelly in the days leading up to the shoot that she could do one of those if the rain decided to stick around

Friday's Shoot - Carmella

Image
It sure looks like 2022 will be the year of the return. Almost every model I've worked with this year was returning after at least a three year hiatus. Well, it's time to add another model to this growing list with Carmella .  Carmella made her debut back in 2018. She did just two sets - one solo and then another with Ava . Her solo set marked her debut in June 2018. People loved her tiny size 5 feet and it was easy to see why. It took me two years, however, to publish her duo with Ava. That set came in August 2020, during the pandemic. I had so many unpublished sets back in 2019 and then Covid came along and slowed down how often I was shooting. Like many others, Carmella and I didn't get to work together again until now. Our original plans were to shoot last week, but some things came up and we push things back until this week. Of course Monday was Labor Day and Tuesday and Wednesday called for rain. I kept my fingers crossed that things would clear up by the end of the w

Sunday's Shoot - Charlee

Image
For years Charlee and I lived less than a mile from each another. This, combined with her fun-loving personality, creativity, and passion for shooting, allowed her to accumulate thousands of photos on Soles of Silk . Then, she moved. Some of you might remember the shoot blogs I published last year around this time. Charlee spared me time to shoot during her visit home to visit her friends and family. We shot 10 total sets, two of which also featured Ava . Those sets were the last time I had the chance to shoot with Charlee until yesterday. A few days ago, Charlee told me she moved back north to be closer to family. I told her whenever she was settled in to let me know. We both had the same idea. Get her some much needed camera time. We settled on the date of Sunday, August 21, 2022. I found a neat location online for us to use a few days before the shoot. Sadly, however, things did not work out with the place I found. I made my way out to the area to find it in a sad state. Trash cans

Saturday's Shoot - Abby

Image
Three Saturday's ago, on July 30, Abby and I met up to shoot. The plan was to do at least two sets, but try for more. Long story short, we ended up doing only two. We spent so much time bullshitting that we ran out of time. WWE's Summerslam was starting as we finished up the second set and we also had plans to watch that together. Yes, Abby is a wrestling fan too, so could you ask for a more chill day than doing some foot fetish photos and watching a WWE event?  Check out the blog, " Saturday's Shoot - Abby ," published on August 1, 2022, for that day's happenings. One of the sets we planned to do on July 30, one Abby was really looking forward to, involved acrylic paint. The two of us met in high school taking art classes together. We then later attended the same art college while dating. Needless to say, the art theme just made too much sense. Well, that and Abby wanted to pour paint all over her feet and create some modern art. It would just have to wait a

Saturday's Shoot - Abby

Image
At the end of May I was treated to seeing Abby's wrinkly soles again for the first time since 2018. I was so happy to have her return to Soles of Silk and many of you were as well. I knew it was only a matter of time before we'd be getting back together to take a few more photos and Saturday was that day. While we only ended up shooting two sets because we bullshitted so much and then ended up watching WWE Summerslam, the two we did are ones I know you're going to love. Let's take a look at them here on the latest shoot blog. Set 1: Lounging in the Living Room Abby and I decided to kick things off in the most comfortable way - a set sitting on her living room couch. We were already there talking, so why not stay there? I moved my photo lights into position and those soft soles were kicked out to the camera to get things underway. There was no elaborate theme going on here and no props besides some pillows. While themes/props are always fun to include, sometimes it'

Wednesday's Shoot - Kelsey

Image
It's been six years in the making, but Kelsey has finally returned! You have no idea how excited I am to finally make this announcement. Well, on the blog anyhow. I did spoil it on Twitter ( @SolesofSilk ) last night and showed off samples from each set. For those of you who didn't see the Tweet , those samples differ from the ones included here. Be sure to go check them out for even more of Kelsey's adorable feet. Now for a bit of backstory. Kelsey debuted on Soles of Silk in February 2006, shooting her first set the day after turning 18. She wanted to shoot on her birthday, but her family made plans to take her out. We decided to do it the following day and have her smash a birthday cake. From that first shoot onward, I treasured every chance I got to spend time in front of her pillowy soft soles and plump toes. I always loved that about her size 6.5 feet. Although Kelsey's last shoot, until yesterday, came in 2016, a huge backlog of unpublished photos meant that I

Monday's Shoot - Macy Divine (New Model)

Image
Pardon me for the sappy introduction, but sometimes you just have to be honest. Today I met a new friend - someone I almost passed up meeting with altogether. That person is Macy Divine. You can find on Twitter at @RealMacyDivine . Macy reached out to me last week and asked if I would like to work together. She'd be in the area for a couple of days. I found her to be gorgeous and really wanted to take her up on the offer. Sadly, however, some things in my life are a little up in the air right now. I told her I wished I could, but things they way they are, I'd have to decline. I told her why and she told me if I changed my mind, or things opened up, to let her know. She said she understood, but really had hoped the two of us could work together at some point. Long story short, Macy and I kept exchanging messages following that introduction. She totally won me over with her friendly attitude and assuring nature. I ultimately decided to meet and boy am I ever glad I did.  Many of

Sunday's Shoot - Leah

Image
Some of you might remember from the May 31, 2022 shoot blog, " Tuesday's Shoot - Roulette Raye ," that my original plans that day was to shoot two sets with both Roulette and Leah . With the high temperatures and Leah not feeling well that day, she and I decided to postpone. Roulette and I still forged ahead and did the sneaker and lotion sets. Jump ahead to the end of last week and Leah and I made plans to shoot her sets on Sunday. The forecast called for much more pleasant day, reaching the mid-70's, opposed to the mid-90's Roulette and I had to endure. Sadly, we still were left to dealt with some strong winds which ruined several waterfront locations downtown. Although things didn't go to plan off the bat, Leah and I had a great time hanging out. We even managed to squeeze in a couple of touristy things before leaving the city. One of these days we'll return to those spots to see if we have more manageable conditions. Set 1: Mismatching Socks Something

Tuesday's Shoot - Roulette Raye

Image
A little over two weeks ago I met Roulette Raye for the first time. Introduced to me by Leah , the two of them shot a few sets a couple of weeks ago - one solo each and then a duo. If you haven't seen those sets, check out the blog, " Thursday's Shoot - Leah & Roulette Raye (New Model) ," from May 13, 2022. Both solo sets are currently on the site as well. Since that shoot I have been in contact with both models to shoot again. Today was the day we planned to do it, but 96 degree weather did hinder some of those plans. We almost decided to postpone outright, but the girls wanted to give it a try and see what they could tolerate. Long story short, Roulette ended up shooting two sets. Leah, who wasn't feeling amazing to begin with, asked if we could shoot later in the week when it supposed to be cooler. I, of course, said yes. Be on the lookout for that in the next few days. In this shoot recap, I showcase Roulette's sets from the day, both of which came ou

Saturday's Shoot - Abby

Image
For fans of Soles of Silk dating back to the early days, yesterday's shoot will be one that excites a lot of you. Heck, it'll excited some of you from the pre-Soles of Silk days too, back when I ran The 10 Little Piggies and other various Yahoo GeoCities sites. The reason you'll love yesterday's shoot so much is because of who sat in front of my camera.  That model was none other than Abby ! Although Abby debuted on Soles of Silk in 2005, just one month after the site's launch, she was no stranger to modeling her wrinkly size 6 feet. Nope! It was just that she was used to doing it on 35mm film. That and doing it back when we dated fresh out of high school in the late 1990's. As a matter of fact, Abby is one of only eight models on the Soles of Silk roster who did photos for me prior to the site's launch - appearing on The 10 Little Piggies. So for all of you who remember those early sets and the ones that pre-date Soles of Silk, I'm sure you're so
