Thursday's Shoot - Jamie

On Wednesday I was lucky enough to be able to meet up with Jamie and do her first new shoots of 2014. Since I only had a few hours open that day before I had to be in for work, we decided to on shoot back-to-back days. I wanted to try to get in three new sets and there wasn't enough time to do that on Wednesday - especially since we did a pedicure stop first. If you haven't read the blog, "Wednesday's Shoot - Jamie," check that one out first as this is kind of a continuation from the day before. It might even be the first time in 10 years that I shot the same model on back-to-back days. Maybe not, but I can't recall ever doing it off the top of my head.

On both Wednesday and Thursday I was worried about the rain. The forecast call for rain both dates, but we lucked out on Wednesday. When I woke up on Thursday, however, there was a steady drizzle. Jamie texted me to ask me the plan.

"We're going to the store to buy some rubber rain boots," I replied.

I've always wanted to shoot a set with those, but predicting the rain, or scheduling a shoot on a day it does rain doesn't always work out. It did on Thursday, though. So after I picked up Jamie at her house, we made our way to the store and bought a bright yellow pair along with a black umbrella.

When we arrived at our first shoot location the rain was still coming down, but it was letting up slightly. I felt comfortable enough to take my camera out in the rain, especially since the main location I was wanting to use was located under a large tree. The tree would help keep some of the rain off of me at least.

Jamie began the set kicking some water in a few of the puddles on the path around the pond. This is when something odd happened. A work truck pulled up with some landscapers inside. They came out with hedge trimmers and walked down to where I was wanting to shoot. They began trimming the hedges in the rain. I looked at Jamie dumbfounded, but then again, I'm outside taking pictures in the rain, so yeah...

We lucked out as the landscapers didn't take long at all. They hit a few of the hedges, pulled away the debris, and were on their way. Jamie and I walked over to the bench under the tree and began shooting.

Jamie posed in her boots for quite a few shots before slowly tugging them off her bare feet. No, she wasn't wearing any socks in those rubber boots! I thought many of you would like that, so I told her, "no socks."

Once Jamie's feet were bare I had her pose them all over her boots and of course, out in front for some awesome sole shots. Eventually, however, the dirt path down below was calling her name.

Jamie stepped down into the dirt and those soft, wet soles became dirty with ease. I had her kneel on the bench and show off those dirty foot bottoms and they looked too cute. When I expressed that to Jamie, she just laughed. Yeah, she knows I'm a goof.

Before we wrapped up this set, Jamie stuck her soles back out to show them in all their filthy glory. She's had her feet get a little dirty before from being outside in her sets, but not like this (see teaser image above). I wanted to be sure to capture that to finish up the set.

We made our way back to my car after we finished the set so Jamie could clean her feet. It didn't take much since they were a little wet. The towel, however, didn't fair too well.

As Jamie was busy cleaning herself up she asked if we could still do our second set. We didn't have a ton of time, but as long as we shot nearby, we'd be fine. I began driving to an area back where we needed to go, but I remembered another location close to where we were. After a quick U-turn, we found our way to the second spot.

Jamie did a quick change of clothes in the car and I told her this shoot was just going to be rapid fire shots with no real theme. No shoes or footwear - just her bare feet sticking out at the camera. She was fine with that, especially since she realized this spot was just a tad bit colder since it was on the water.

Jamie put those adorable feet out and I just told her to move them all over the place. I took photo after photo and we finished the set off in no time. Funny thing is, I got some amazing sole shots out of it. I really liked how the set came out. Maybe I should just do the quick/fast approach more often?

When I told Jamie we were finished she couldn't have been happier. I could tell she was cold, so back to my car we went. I handed my camera to her so she could look at the pictures we took. I killed the air conditioning and put on the heat, but told her I was taking care of warming up her feet. She spun around and placed her soft, clammy soles into my hands. I gave her a foot massage for the last 45 minutes to an hour I had before I had to be making my way to work. I told you I'd get those feet back in my hands again in the last blog, didn't I?

Wednesday's Shoot - Jamie

Yesterday I had a few hours open before I had to be at work. Jamie and I decided to do a quick shoot, but we had to make a quick stop to get her toes painted first. By chance, I picked this amazing shade of teal that matched a top and a pair of flip flops she brought with her. Our original idea was to do a set with some flats, but with all the teal going on, I changed plans.

A few days ago I looked at some parks I had never used for shoots before. Abby shot at one (see blog: "Today's Shoot - Abby) and the following day, Kayleigh shot at two others (see blog: Yesterday's Shoot - Kayleigh"). Since we only had a few hours before I had to be at work, I decided to try one of the others since it was nearby.

We made our way through the large park and at the very end we found an area with two piers. One was quite weathered, but the other was in much better condition. As much as I liked the weather look, the pier itself was kind of small, so we went for the other.

Jamie sat down and rubbed some lotion onto her legs and feet. I told her I was a little jealous since I wasn't the one doing it. Of course I also had to sit through her pedicure earlier where someone else got to massage those feet. They wouldn't escape my grasp for long, however, and I'm sure she knew that too.

The set started with Jamie posing her little feet in numerous ways while keeping her flip flops on. I loved some of the teasing poses where you can see an arch here, her toes popping up there, and so on, all while the flip flops are still on her feet. As a matter of fact, I shot a good deal of photos with her with the flip flops on, or barely coming off before she removed them entirely.

Once Jamie's feet were bare, I made sure those flip flops stayed in frame as much as possible. I had her pose her feet right on top of them for some (like the teaser above) and even had her smelling them, and holding onto them in some "pose" style shots.

While I was shooting her "pose" shots I moved around to shoot her from behind for a handful of shots. That's when I had to put the camera down. I reached out and began rubbing her feet right along her arches. I could see her eyes shut as she just relaxed out on the pier while I pampered her adorable, soft soles.

"Hey, no sleeping!" I playfully said as I kept on rubbing.

"I'm sleepy," she replied.

I teased her for a few minutes about the fact that my foot rubs have always put her to sleep in past. I rubbed them for a while longer and then picked up the camera to take the last few photos. With those done we did a video clip and called it a day.

I would have loved to have just sat out there and pampered Jamie's feet all afternoon, but sadly I had to be at work by 5:00 p.m. Luckily, however, we're squeezing in two more sets tomorrow before I go in to work - as long as the weather permits us to do so. We're going to use those flats and maybe some socks - not really sure about that second set yet. But I do know one other thing, those feet are going to be back in my hands again in a few hours! I can't wait!

Sunday's Shoot - Charlee

Today was set to be a good day. Charlee and I scheduled a photo shoot, she told me she needed her feet rubbed, and we were going to spend the rest of the day at Six Flags America. So I was set to enjoy two of my most favorite things in the world today - women's feet and roller coasters. Well, one out of two isn't bad. More on that at the conclusion of this blog.

Charlee picked me up as she wanted to drive. We decided to plan our shoots at locations down around the amusement park so we could just drive right over and hit up the rides.

The first location was at a Metro Rail station. This particular station had a unique piece of art at the entrance that I had been eyeing up on Google Earth when I planned this, but we quickly found there was really no spot to pose other than on the ground. Since Charlee was wearing a dress and pantyhose in this set (first time doing a stocking set), we decided to look around for a Plan B.

We looked onto the train station itself, but surprisingly there were no benches on the platform. It's a shame too as the station would have made for an even better setting. So Plan C it was.

Plan C took us to the bus loop out front. There were numerous benches, all for different buses. We picked one of the ones that had better lighting and got to shooting.

Since this was Charlee's first set in stockings, I couldn't wait to shoot this one. I brought several pairs with me, but she had a few pairs of her own. The one she decided to use was one of hers and was more decorative than I'm used to using - so that worked out nicely.

Charlee started the set off on the bench inside the stop. Oddly, the benches all leaned forward and even I was sliding off of it trying to shoot. We shot a bunch of photos and then tried some other spots around the stop as well.

I had Charlee stick her feet on the glass and then we moved outside next to the stop markers. She posed all around and I got some amazing sole shots like the one previewed above.

We made our way back to the bench for the clip once the photos were done. Charlee told me she'd be fine to sit on the slanted bench and kick off her heels, but wouldn't you know it, she began to slide off in middle of the clip. I promised her I'd edit it out. I should really save stuff like this for a little bloopers video.

Once we were done we took a lunch break and then got back on the road for our second set. This one was to be with knee high socks as many people have been requesting them lately. I too, seem to have an immense love for them these days, so it works out well.

The location I picked was a high school local to the area. They had a large track with stands on both sides. When we arrived, however, fences to all of the courts were padlocked. As we got closer to the gate for the track, we saw it was padlocked, but not locked. We pulled that gate open and walked on in. Hey, if they left it unlocked, as far as I was concerned, it was open.

By this time of the day it was humid! The sun was hitting us hard, which resulted in me getting a sunburn. But this made the set even better as Charlee now would be showing off her hot, damp feet once those socks were pulled off.

This second set just flew by. Charlee started off in the socks and before I knew it, we were about 30 photos into the set and her socks weren't even all the way off. I mentioned it to Charlee and she didn't feel like we had shot so many already. I wasn't complaining since it was so damn hot outside. We were moving right along.

At the end of the set I had Charlee pose for a final few bare feet shots, which came out quite nice. But for the video clip she pulled the socks back on and then tugged them off once more - this time captured in motion.

Now that we were done the two planned sets, the last great moment of the day was set to begin. Charlee had been after me for days for a foot rub. Hell, the morning of our shoot she told me I'd be giving her not one, not two, but at least three foot rubs on the day. It was now time for one of them.

We went back to her car to enjoy the air conditioning and allow her view the pictures on camera. I pulled out a bottle of lotion and began to work her slender soles. A friend of hers texted her and asked what she was up to. She replied that she just did a shoot and was getting her feet rubbed. Her friend asked if she was "for real," so Charlee showed her a photo of the foot rub. Guess Charlee likes showing people when I'm pampering her feet. At least there was no boyfriend this time to get the accidental text message like last time! (see the 2013 blog: "Today's Shoot - Charlee")

And now for the bad...

Charlee drove us to Six Flags America and we made our way to the main gate. I am a season pass holder, so I get in for free. Charlee, however, I was giving one of my discount coupons to from my membership.

When we tried to figure out where to go to pick up the coupon, we were given a run around and attitude by the employees working out front. They had lines for several different things, like buying tickets, guest services, and season pass registration all converging into one big, well, cluster fuck! No one was waiting in the correct lines, people had no idea where they were going. Best of all, when we tried to get assistance from someone in the ticket booth, another employee accused us of butting in line. All we wanted to know was where to go stand in line.

At this point I was so mad. I told Charlee let's just leave. I go to countless amusement parks every year and this was just outrageously unorganized and unprofessional. So our day ended early and the foot rub I promised Charlee inside the amusement park later in the day will have to wait. Oh well, I told her I'll take her to Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey instead. She's always wanted to go and plus, it's a much better park.

Tuesday's Shoot - Kayleigh

It was only a few hours ago when I was eating at an Italian restaurant with a friend I haven't seen in a few years. This friend is one of the most dependable models I've ever had on my site and one that current ranks as 7th among all of my models for the most photos published to the site with 1,284. This model is none other than Kayleigh.

Kayleigh didn't waste time getting on the site, posing the day she turned 18 back in 2009. Since then, she posed regularly and I found her in front of my camera 19 different times in a three year span. And then she moved to Texas!

Needless to say, my heart was broken. I loved shooting photos of my small-footed friend. Although I had several sets of hers that I hadn't published when she moved to Texas, the idea that she may no longer pose for me did occupy my thoughts. The two sets I posted to the site of Kayleigh in 2013 were both shot in 2012.

Back to the present now. Kayleigh and I are eating way too much food for our bellies to handle. But you're here to find out what happened before then, aren't you? Of course you are! And yes, those itty bitty feet are back! I'd say back in a "big way" but there's nothing big about those size 5.5 feet! And that's what I love about them the most. They're just so tiny!

Now time to jump back in time yet again. Yes, this is probably feeling like a Quentin Tarantino movie at this point, so I apologize. Well, at least he's a fellow foot guy, so I'm sure he'd be fine if I steal his way of story telling.

It's 4 p.m. and I'm just getting off of work. Kayleigh and I had planned our shoot only a few days prior and it was very impromptu. We wouldn't have a lot of time to shoot starting after 4 p.m., but I didn't care. I wanted to see her and those feet again. I knew all of you would too.

After picking her up we made a stop at Wal-Mart to see if we could find her some flats. A cheap pair for her to wear in a set since she had never done flats before. With so many sets with her in the books, finding a new idea isn't always easy - let alone when you're against the clock.

So there we are looking at flats. Practically all the shoes in the store were a size 9, 10, 11. There is no way they're fitting on those tiny size 5.5s. Finally Kayleigh finds a pair that are size 6. Close enough, right? Hell no! They were big on her - and not slightly either. To the kids section we were!

Once in the kids section we looked past all the Dora the Explorer and Doc McStuffins shoes and found some flats and canvas style shoes. We struck out on the flats yet again, but there were some canvas shoes in a size 5. Kayleigh slipped them on and... TOO BIG! Yes, a size 5 was too big. Size 4? Nope! She ended up getting a size 3 kids shoe! I'm not kidding. I made sure to take close ups of her in these shoes later on just to show you.

After buying the shoes we were onto our first location - a waterfront park under the highway. I found the park using Google Earth. I didn't even know it was there although I've drove on the highway above too many times to count. It turned out to be quite a unique location and Kayleigh loved the view.

We shot all over the pier for this one. She had her feet out, feet up, she laid on her stomach in the pose, and so much more. The set saw her in her sandals to begin, but she quickly tossed them aside, only to worry about losing them in the cracks of the wooden beams of the pier.

I ultimately loved the way the set came out. The only thing that caused some issue was the wind. You really can't win when you're posing out on a pier or a beach though. You do the best you can, or you tie her hair back. We just dealt with it.

When we wrapped up we made our way back to the car and tried our luck with another park we found on the GPS. It was also a waterfront park, but I wanted to stay off the water this time. The sun would also be going down soon and massive clouds were moving in, so driving around to other locations wasn't going to work.

After we entered the park I drove around the parking lot for a minute. That's when we saw a downed tree. We loved it and knew it would make for a good location. But then we remembered how Kayleigh had posed in a tree once before (Sample 01 / Sample 02). Oh well, that was an upright tree. This one was laying horizontal, split out at the base. It's totally different! Yes, that was our logic.

Kayleigh made a quick change of clothes and slipped on her size 3 shoes. These things are so simple, but damn, talk about adorable on her feet! That's when I confessed to her how much I just love simple things when it comes to girls. Ponytails, headbands, running pants, and shoes like these are all things I just think look cute. Kayleigh laughed, but understood.

"Hell, I like feet," I added to prove I just like what most other guys don't.

"That's true," Kayleigh responded.

We made our way from the car and Kayleigh jumped up on the tree for some shots, trying to keep her balance. Before long, however, I had her sitting down and teasing us while still wearing the shoes. She pointed to the size 3 printed on the bottoms before giving them a tug, but just enough to show her round little heels. A few more tugs here, a few more tugs there, and those feet were finally bare. I made sure to keep her shoes in the rest of the shots though as I know so many of you love that. Hell, I do and a lot of it has to do with you guys mentioning it.

At this point the sun was going down and we wouldn't have time to get in a third set. This is when I asked her if she'd like to take a look at the photos on the camera... and look at them while I gave her a long overdue foot rub. I wasn't letting her get away without one - something I said a few times that day.

We made our way over to one of the pavilions and I handed her my camera. I reached into my supply bag and grabbed a bottle of lotion. Her feet were soft, but I wanted to give a little extra pampering to this friend of mine I haven't seen in so long. She sure didn't mind!

An hour or so passed and we decided to stop and get something to eat. I told her it was up to her when the foot rub was over because I would just keep going. She knows this as I've rubbed her feet in the past for more than three hours in one sitting. That wasn't happened this day. We were too hungry!

Now this is where it goes all Tarantino again as now we're back at the beginning of the blog... or is it the end? Oh, who knows? One thing I do know, I'm so happy to have Kayleigh back and we're already discussing when we're shooting next! So far we know we want to do either a pantyhose or stocking set as she's never done that to this point. Any other suggestions?

Wu Tribute Ribbon Download

Some of you have taken notice of the watermarks on the Soles of Silk photo sets and teasers as of this week. When I found out about Wu of Wu's Feetlinks passing away on Sunday, I created a black and white tribute ribbon (featured above) that I put into effect immediately on all sets moving forward. I've placed it in numerous places on my site as well.

If you'd like to use this banner, I'm leaving two links below for a the file - one in Photoshop (PSD) format and the other, in a flattened JPG file. Please feel free to use it to honor Wu and his legacy!

Monday's Shoot - Abby

What a weekend - and not a good one either! Late Saturday night Mindee texts me that she and her cousin (a new model) will not be able to shoot as planned for Sunday. Mindee had to take her son to the emergency room that night and her cousin was away because her husband treated her to a two day vacation for her birthday. He didn't realize she had plans to shoot when he booked it. I was really looking forward to those sets, but things happen in life and Mindee has never cancelled on me in 10 years. I think it was a pretty good reason. And then came Sunday...

I woke up Sunday and was just lounging around the house when I noticed the statement from BHE about Wu of Wu's Feetlinks passing away. It read:

"It is with deep sorrow that we must inform you of the death of the original Wu, Alex F. Alex and BHE have been partners in producing and hosting for more than 15 years. We pledge to continue to maintain the high standards set by Alex." - BHE

I was stunned and saddened by the news. Needless to say, I spent the entire day interacting with people on the Wu's Feetlinks Forum, through email, and other social media outlets. I wrote a blog titled, "Rest in Peace - Wu of Wu's Feetlinks," to give my initial reactions as I just wanted to publicly say how amazing the man was.

In a strange way it is almost fitting that the first model I shoot after learning this news is none other than the first model I ever shot and one Wu was instantly in love with - Abby. He loved her way before Soles of Silk was even a thought in my mind. Without going deep into our history, Abby and I dated for a few years in college and is the biggest reason I do this today. She interacted with Wu several times over the years, even being the subject of one of his interviews. So going out with Abby today was kind of settling, to be honest. She's one of the few models I have who knew Wu. Most have heard of him, or know him as the guy who owned the site they did a feature set for. Abby, however, actually exchanged emails with him and at one time, was posting to the forums too. So we talked for some time.

Our initial plans for the day were to do a set, maybe two, and then meet up with Kelsey so they could do one together. Kelsey wasn't 100 percent sure she'd be able to make it out, so we told her to let us know. Not having heard from her by that point, we began just in case she'd be ready soon.

Abby and I found a quiet spot along a river and decided to shoot on some of the piers and a boat launch. Of course the quiet space would cease to exist almost immediately as we were set to begin. A loud woman, whose voice reminded me of Mama Fratelli from the "Goonies," brought three large dogs down around us. She then proceeded to yell at them like she was five years old over fetching sticks. She finally left after maybe 10 minutes and we were finally able to begin.

We kept this set simple. Blue jeans, a fun graphic t-shirt, and bare feet. Barefoot girls in blue jeans is always a popular request, so that's what we went with.

After about 20 or so photos a truck came down to the boat ramp and parked. We looked over and saw a guy sitting inside doing nothing. We waited a few minutes, but he just sat there. I used Mindee's famous line, "We'll never see him again. Who cares?" With that, we went back to shooting.

Once we got in enough photos for the set we sat around and just talked about life some more. Wu came up a few more times and I showed her some of what has been posted elsewhere about him. That's also when I showed her the Wu Tribute Ribbon I'm putting on all my photo's watermarks and at various places around the site. She liked the idea. You can see it on Abby's photo above - the first place it's been used thus far and I'm glad it was on one of Abby's photos for all the reasons stated above.

At that point Kelsey said it wasn't looking like she was going to be able to shoot any time soon, so Abby and I just wrapped it up. Abby scuffed her polish and decided it was probably better that we just shoot more on another day. I agreed and we headed back to her place so I could drop her off.

Kelsey ended up not being able to shoot at all today. I had hoped she might be able to do some this evening, but to no avail. She's looking to squeeze something in sometime soon, however. It would have been nice to see her and Abby together once again. They did a fun tickling set way back in 2006 that people loved (Sample 01 / Sample 02). I do know one thing, you'd be hard pressed to find two sets of softer soles to put in a set together! Oh well, sooner or later we will get to do it again.

Rest in Peace - Wu of Wu's Feetlinks

"It is with deep sorrow that we must inform you of the death of the original Wu, Alex F. Alex and BHE have been partners in producing and hosting for more than 15 years. We pledge to continue to maintain the high standards set by Alex." - BHE, May 18, 2014

Talk about a sad way to start off the day. Just last night I had signed into the Wu's Feetlinks Forum and noticed an influx of new members. With Wu not having been active for months and him being the only person who could approve newcomers, I was hopeful. No one knew why he wasn't around. It had been a mystery that was hotly debated on the forum. This morning, however, shattered that hope with the quote above, which can be found on Wu's Feetlinks splash and home pages.

I've said many times in the past - Wu was amazing and not just to myself, but the community as a whole. Although I never personally met him, I felt like we knew each other so well. If you consider how long we exchanged emails, I've probably known and communicated with him longer than some of my personal friends - we just never met in person.

It looks like BHE (the hosting company for Wu's Feetlinks) is going to try to maintain his site from here out. It is a valuable resource to lose from a business sense, but also, as a community sense. Wu's was always so much more than a place to advertise your updates, new models, etc. It was a place to talk, shoot the shit, tell Wu how bad his Redskins were, and so on! Yeah, I was always one to remind him how good the Ravens, only 50 or so miles north of him were doing. He was a true friend. I will miss him!

Soles of Silk F.A.Q. - Shoot Themes

When I first began to explore my fetish years ago I quickly realized that there are countless sub-genres to this little fetish of ours. While I don't exactly enjoy all of them, I try to include some variation on the site when it comes to the sets I post. In this entry to the Soles of Silk F.A.Q. blog series I am going to take a look at some of the sub-genres you will find on the site and how I determine which ones I shoot.

Frequently Asked Question: What foot fetish themes will I find on Soles of Silk?

Over the years I've kind of found a grove of shoot themes that my members seem to enjoy. I also enjoy many of these to various degrees, but here is what you will find looking through the page of Soles of Silk with some samples for each:

Frequently Asked Question: How do you determine which themes you shoot for the site?

In all honesty, first and foremost, I shoot what I like. I have no qualms about that being true. This site has been my baby for years and I've enjoyed every minute of doing it. If I began shooting content that didn't appeal to me, this would cease to be fun.

All that being said, I do understand the need to appeal to member requests. Most of the time requests come in for themes I already do, but include something particular. For example, I try to get in sets with the girls in stockings here and there. I've had girls wearing various colors and styles, but a member once emailed a request to see Mindee wearing nude pantyhose. Since I already include stockings as a theme, I mentioned it to Mindee and needless to say, that was one hot set (Sample 01 / Sample 02).

With all the great requests come the bad ones, however. Although I state on the site countless times that there is no nudity or adult content on the site, I still periodically get asked, "When is (insert model's name) doing a footjob?" or something similar. Most the time I just ignore it, but I've also been known to ask the person if they bothered to read the site, or what based on what they saw, led them to believe any of the models do them? Some people...

In addition to the adult content, there are a handful of other themes and/or sub-genres that Soles of Silk does not contain. One of the big ones is the occasional request for a model to crush insects or living things. I've been lucky that I only get that once in a blue moon.

Soles of Silk Update - May 7, 2014
