Monday's Shoot - Marcy

On July 8, 2013 I posted a blog titled, "Today's Shoot - Mindee & Marcy," where people got to see Marcy pose for her first sets for Soles of Silk in several years. I won't get into the details on why or how that day went here. You can click on that blog's link above for all that information. Instead, this blog is to cover her newest photos Marcy just got finished posing for three weeks after her big return.

When I shot Marcy back on July 8 I told her I didn't want to go too long without seeing her in front of my camera again. I figured I'd probably see in her August sometime at the earliest, but when she approached me about shooting at the end of July, I saw I was open and booked it.

Up until last night I wasn't exactly sure where I wanted to do Marcy's shoot. We only had about three hours to play with, so I didn't want to go too far away. I didn't want travel eating up our time. And after how yesterday's shoot with Aspen went with having to start and stop over and over again (see "Today's Shoot - Aspen"), I didn't want to chance coming away with very little to nothing.

The location I ended up picking is a place I shot Mindee a few years ago. I knew there were still a lot of locations left to still use, however. It is a park I used to go to as a kid with my parents every summer to catch turtles. I figured it was a good bet for some variety.

When Marcy and I got to the park, she couldn't stop saying how pretty it was. That's always something nice to hear while on shoots. I find when the model is in love with her surroundings, it inspires her to want to do things I might not even think of - whether it be poses, places to shoot, etc. That was the case with Marcy.

For Marcy's first shoot we walked out onto the long boardwalk area I used to catch turtles. That was years ago, however, when there was more water. In recent years there has been a lot of home building in the immediate area. Run off had made the water much shallower and in some spots, even created small islands. One part of the boardwalk, right by where we shot, is even all crooked from all the fallen trees and run off that has pushed against the pillars. Regardless, the area is still beautiful.

Marcy showing off how wrinkled her soles can get.

Marcy started her first set off the day off in her white sandals. She playfully began striking poses up on the railings. You know, right next to the sign that said, "Do not sit or climb on fences." She's such a rebel! But it looks cute and I shot it. I know, I contributed to her delinquency.

Before long Marcy was slowly pulling off her sandals without me even telling her. If I remember correctly she said, "I want these shoes off now!"

As a foot guy, those words were music to my ears. I pointed the camera at her feet and began taking photos. She began unstrapping her shoes and pulling them off slowly. But when she had them off, she spoke out again saying, "Patrick! You need to rub lotion on my feet."

Yeah, her instructions just kept getting better and better. In my book bag I always carry a few things. One of them happens to be a bottle of lotion. Outdoor sets can dry a girl's feet out quickly, so I always bring it along. With the lotion in my palm, I grabbed her feet and rubbed it into her slender feet for a minute or so.

Marcy looked right at me with a gaze and said, "That's it?"

I said, "More after the shoot. That's just enough to moisten them up for now."

Before dropping her feet, however, I put them to my nose for a playful sniff. "At least they smell nice now too," I said jokingly.

She laughed and asked me if they smelled at all. I put them back to my nose and inhaled for a bit. I said, "Nope, they smell like lotion now."

Marcy responded, "I took a shower right before you picked me up too, so they're not stinky. Sorry!"

She knows what I like. And with that, I told her lets finish up the set so I could give her a nice long foot massage.

Marcy looked at me with this cute pouty look that she does and said, "You better!"

Man did I ever miss this girl all those years. Shooting Marcy is so damn fun, but I digress. Back to our shoot.

With Marcy's soles now bare she began sticking her feet all over the wood fences so that I could get right up into them for some pictures. She was wiggling her toes all about, scrunching them up real nice. Knowing she struggles to spread her toes, I made sure I forced the issue. As playful as Marcy is, watching her fight to spread her toes is pure fun. I should really do a clip of just her trying to spread her toes. It would be behind the scenes gold!

At this point we had to do a quick pause for a mother and her children coming into the immediate area. It was nothing like Aspen's Jefferson Rock affair yesterday, so we stayed put for a few minutes, which gave me time to rub her feet a little. No complaints from her, of course.

Once everyone was out of our background Marcy began posing again. We got some great pose shots and some more sole shots from other angles. And of course Marcy felt the need to climb on the fences again. I think she just wanted some of the cops we saw back in the parking lot to come down and put cuffs on her. That would have made for a fun second shoot!

After shooting a video clip we walked around the park for a bit to find our next spot. We ended up going with a large tree stump that was by an outdoor presentation area. The stump was big enough for her to get on, so after she changed, that's where she sat her booty.

Marcy seated on a large tree stump.

Before we began shooting, I told Marcy to pull her black sandals off real quick. I applied more lotion to her feet and gave her a slightly longer foot rub. She commented on how nice it felt and I promised yet again to give her a really nice long one when we were done shooting. She gave a little cheer of approval and we were underway.

In sandals yet again, Marcy began posing her feet in various poses. She had told me earlier that she was in charge for the day and to be honest, I was letting her strike many of her own poses. Although I still gave suggestions, Marcy was on the ball today with just doing her thing. I found myself telling her, "Hold that," or "Do that again," for poses she was doing without my instruction.

Before long it was time to remove these sandals too. Those beautiful soles of hers were back in front of my camera and I couldn't help but give them a fun little tickle, or rub between shots. They're just so cute!

The entire time I was shooting this set I commented on how the grass in the area right around the stump was not cut. There was an older gentleman cutting grass off in the distance, but everything in the area except this spot, was cut. I figured that maybe they used a smaller mower for this spot instead of the riding mower, so I paid it no mind.

Right after I got done filming Marcy's clips for this shoot, another park employee rode over and teased us that we were keeping his coworker from finishing up the grass. Low and behold the reason it had never been cut was because we grabbed the area before he was finished. He just went elsewhere while we took photos. Since we were done we apologized, but he laughed saying it wasn't a big deal. And with that, we were off to the much awaited, foot rub!

Marcy and I walked back towards the car, but took a detour over by a fishing pond. Around the pond are numerous benches. We picked the one with some backing to it so Marcy could sit back and relax. I gave her my camera and she looked through her photos as well as some I had left of Ryan on my camera card. Those photos were from Ryan's most recent shoot in front of the roller coasters (see Today's Shoot - Ryan).

I ended up rubbing Marcy's feet for about 40-45 minutes while catching up. We also had a few fun conversations that I won't repeat here, but it was good times. If she would have had more time, I would have just kept rubbing those adorable feet of hers. Guess that means I have to schedule with her again. I wonder what I'm doing in another three weeks?

Sunday's Shoot - Aspen

Days like today are why the saying, "You win some, you lose some," is muttered. On what looked like such a promising day at an awesome location with one of the site's most popular models, things just never seemed to go right. It wasn't a total waste, by any means, but in my mind I just saw things going differently.

I met Aspen at 1:00 p.m. and we made our way to Harpers Ferrry - a historic town in West Virginia. I picked this location the night before after browsing some photos online and seeing an abundance of unique locations. What I failed to do, however, was research exactly where you have to go once you get there. Parking in the town area was all permit based and we ended up driving back to a visitors center/park about a mile and half away. I say back because we originally drove into this area to start, but I didn't realize the town is part of the park itself. Once Aspen and I figured out the situation, we paid to park and rode the shuttle bus into the town.

Now that we were situated, we walked around for a few minutes eyeing up potential shoot locations. We saw a few spots the night before online as well as some on our search, no, quest for parking earlier that we had liked. I, however, wanted to try one called Jefferson Rock. From Jefferson Rock you can look out over sections of the town and the Shenandoah River, but what I didn't realize was that in order to get there you need to walk up countless steps on the side of a hill. Of course I'd pick the hardest spot to get to.

Once we finally got to the top we took a small breather and looked around. We honestly saw maybe two other people on the long journey to the top, so we assumed we might not have too many tourists around. Well, that was surely not the case at all.

Aspen posing by Jefferson Rock.

A few people were already at Jefferson Rock when we arrived, but they quickly left. We started shooting and after only 10 photos, a few older couples came up. They spread out over the entire area taking photos. With the sunlight strong to the one side of the mountain, we only had one direction we could shoot. Of course, these couples were all over the background. I know I've said many times that I don't mind doing shoots in public, but when people are lingering less than 10 feet away, I generally pause. So we did.

Our pause ended up turning into a long wait. More and more people kept coming up and no one was leaving. It was getting quite crowded. We couldn't even really try to shoot if we had wanted to because the few key spots were all full of people.

After about 15-20 minutes, most of the people began to finally leave. I told Aspen to sit up on the closest rock grouping and begin kicking her sandals off. I shot quickly and actually kept shooting with others coming up. But before long, there was dozens of people crawling all over the spot once more. We sat back down and waited to see if we'd catch another break in tourists.

We only had to wait about 10 minutes this time as the last group in our way left. I told Aspen to lay on her stomach this time for some pose shots. I began snapping away again and sure enough, more people came.

Aspen and I stayed on the rock this time. I was trying to see if people would not linger if we were taking up one of the interesting locations. It seemed to work for a few minutes. We shot several more, but when people began climbing right on the same rocks we were on, I put the camera down.

We tried to wait, but I decided to just call the shoot off at this point. We had burned too much time as it was and only had about 35-40 pictures to show for it. I told Aspen this set will probably be posted as a bonus set one week as I like my sets to be around 50 photos.

We made our way down the stairs and Aspen made a quick stop to change - doing so in a public place too. That should have been the second shoot, but I left her to her privacy behind a stone wall.

Once we were off the mountain we made our way over to the train trestle. I had been wanting to use this area since the night before. There were numerous benches and rocks we could use to shoot and much more space to spread out - should we run into the same issue as we did on Jefferson Rock. But low and behold, this is where we ran into yet another issue.

Since we wasted so much time up on Jefferson Rock the sun had moved, leaving the places where Aspen could sit pose in a splotchy mess of bright spots and shadows. With so many trees, the sun just didn't have a ton of space to come through. Of course, it was lit much better earlier on when we were walking around for shoot locations.

With this dilemma now before me I decided to try a few shots in the shady area. I find shooting where there is bright light and dark shadows to be almost impossible. Liking the background better from the shade, we gave it a try and it didn't look bad. After about half a dozen photos, however, the sun began poking more and more through the area we were using creating that splotchy mess of shadows and light I explained above. Even though we were a few photos in, I decided to move over to some rocks just under the trestle.

Aspen in front of the train trestle.

These rocks really limited Aspen's ability to pose. I never like sitting my models right in grass or on the ground. I like for them to be able to interact with things like benches, rocks, walls, etc. Furthermore, the trestle really wasn't shown as well from these rocks as the previous shady spot. At this point, however, I didn't care. I needed to do some photos and we pushed forward.

We didn't have a ton of time with only a few shuttle bus departures left in the evening, so I shot quickly. I had Aspen pull her off her sandals in the first few and then show off those adorable soles. I made sure to get in some shots of those metallic toes too, so you toe fans, don't worry. I really liked the polish she was wearing and thought it worked well with the kind of backgrounds we were using.

After shooting a full set at this location we made our way to the nearby bus stop. Aspen told me she wanted me to give her a foot rub while we waited for the bus. All the benches were full, so we found a spot to sit on the other side of the bus loop. The moment Aspen had her sandals off, however, the bus was pulling in and I didn't even get to spend time rubbing her feet. With all the other struggles today, it only made sense to strike out there too.

Even though this day didn't go as planned (sorry @FootToons), Aspen and I will be planning some more shoots before she goes back to school in September. There are still a number of older sets of Aspen I haven't posted as well as the ones previewed here. Just the thought of that makes me feel better!

Monday's Shoot - Rachel DD (New Model)

If you've been keeping up with the Soles of Silk blogs since I began earlier this year you know I post a blog each day I shoot mentioning how the day went with a sample photo from each set done. Well, I was unable to write a "Today's Shoot" titled blog from Monday's sets as I didn't get home to about 2 a.m. on Tuesday. Then on Tuesday I had to work, had the site to update, and also attended a minor league baseball game. So here I am finally getting to share all the great sets I did on Monday with the site's newest model, Rachel DD.

For those that frequent other fetish sites and Clips4Sale stores, you may recognize Rachel. I met her on Twitter (@ModelRachelDD) in the winter of 2012 and saw she is from my hometown area of Baltimore. We spoke online and agreed that once the weather got warmer we'd have to plan to do some sets. Luckily for me when I wrote the "Would Love to Shoot #4" blog last week, Rachel gave it a read and contacted me about shooting. She told me she would be moving out of town in a little over a week and wanted to know if I'd be able to squeeze her in soon. Having two models who wanted to reschedule their shoots already this week, it left me with Monday open. That's what we went with and what you'll find below is what we ended up doing.

As usual the forecast was calling for 40-50% chance of thunderstorms. I really wanted to shoot outside, but didn't want to have to come up with last minute plans if the rain came. I booked a hotel suite, but told Rachel that we'd try to shoot outside for a bit and then do some back at the hotel. She liked the idea and that is how Monday played out.

After meeting Rachel we stopped back at the hotel to drop off some of our stuff. She grabbed a few outfits for our outdoor sets and we were on our way to the first location - a track at a local high school.

Rachel's sweaty feet after a workout.

When we arrived at the track there were a number of people walking around. We were getting started a little bit later than I had wanted, but with the hotel check in at 3 p.m., I decided it was just better to start late in case it rained. Of course it hadn't rained all day, but after walking on the track for a little bit while talking about Soles of Silk and foot modeling, we made our way into the nearby stands and we felt a light drizzle. Just my luck, but it passed in no time.

Rachel was wearing a pair of the brightest running shoes and before long she began sliding her feet out to show off her bare heels. No, Rachel was not wearing socks, so all you sweaty feet fans out there, rejoice!

Before long Rachel had her shoes off entirely and was baring her soles to me for the first time. I had seen them quite a few times online, but seeing them in person was amazing. At a size 6, her feet are so tiny and totally look the part. And watching her spread her toes was the cutest thing. Some girls have toes that fly open with ease. Others struggle. And then you have some who can't seem to spread them at all. Rachel is in the struggle group as they'll open up, but she playfully tries to keep them flared open for the camera. It's so fun to watch.

After getting a bunch of shots of her moist feet we shot a video clip and then were on our way to our next location. Some of the clouds were a little too dark for my liking and I wanted to get in at least one more outdoor set.

Rachel showing her soles at a shopping center.

When we got to our next location, which was a shopping center, we found it to be on the slower side. I had shot in this area before with Carlin years ago for her shoe shopping set (Sample 01 / Sample 02), but with Rachel I tried to focus on slightly different spots.

With only a few people in sight Rachel stuck her feet out and we began her second set. She had on a rather unique pair of sandals, the style of which, I wouldn't know. They reminded me of an American Indian's clothes. No other model has worn anything like that on Soles of Silk  so I told her to start with them on. You can kind of see them in the bottom right corner of the sample picture above.

Before long Rachel was barefoot again and sticking her feet over the back end of numerous benches. I'm sure people that happened to pass by saw us, but neither of us cared. And to be kind of honest, sometimes it feels neat to have a girl sticking her feet clearly into my camera out in public and people seeing me focused right on them. I wouldn't doubt that a few guys with foot fetishes have passed me in all the years I've been shooting for Soles of Silk.

At this point the sky was getting more and more gray. We probably could have squeezed in another quick outdoor set, but the only location I had scouted, a Light Rail train stop, had a permanent police officer on duty. I wasn't sure if we'd get bothered, so we decided to just go back to the hotel.

Rachel looking cute in her zombie pajamas.

After a short break we jumped right into the third set - one I hadn't even planned on until right before I left to meet Rachel. Months ago I bought a cute pair of zombie pajamas at the mall that I wanted someone to wear at some point on the site. I showed Rachel a picture of the outfit and she was in love. I grabbed a few other zombie themed props to add to the set, most notably some graphic novels.

It was at the start of this set where one of those on shoot stories you'll always remember happened. Rachel insisted she wanted to shave her legs real quick as I guess she missed a spot? Well, she ended up cutting herself open and it would not stop bleeding. She felt so bad, but I teased her telling her we could play it off as a zombie bite. And sitting here now, I could have explained it as it was a zombie with a foot fetish that got her leg. Yeah, I'm the king of cheesy stuff.

Well, it took a long while, but she finally stopped bleeding and we were on our way. I loved how cute Rachel looked in the pajama set. And being a comic book fan, I'm always game to incorporate my nerdy side into shoots. We shot quite a few photos for this one and got in a clip to end it.

For the fourth set I was trying to find somewhere different to shoot than the bedroom. I moved over to the staircase leading to the upstairs room, but I just didn't like the lighting and thought the spot limited poses. So it was back to the bedroom we went.

Rachel tugging at her fencenet stockings.

The only thing I knew I wanted for this set was Rachel in some cute lingerie. She brought numerous outfits and we went with a frilly black and purple one. I just so happened to bring some purple fencenet stockings, so we went with those too. Variety is a great thing!

Since Rachel had her bag of outfits pulled out, I said we should use it in the set. While showing off her fencenet clad feet, she could be organizing her other outfits - the ones that were a little too revealing for a Soles of Silk shoot. Yeah Rachel, those see through ones that show off the girls.

Most of this set had Rachel in the fencenets, but she did pull them off by the end. She did some fun tugging shots, stretching them between her toes and teeth too.

At this point it was getting very late. Rachel and I spent quite a bit of time shooting the bull as we're both chatty individuals. I warned her that once I get to know someone, I can be talkative. She said the same held true for her. But I had no complaints. She had been nothing but fun and I was enjoying my time shooting as well as getting to know her.

Rachel smashing carrot cake under her feet.

For the last shoot we moved to the kitchen area of the suite. I pulled out a carrot cake out of the refrigerator and before long she had that cake smashed under her pretty feet.

Earlier in the day I sent her a text about smashing some food under her feet and suggested a carrot cake as I was staring right at one in the grocery store. She said it would be fun, so I made the purchase.

Fast forward back to the shoot and I have two messy size 6 feet in front of me and a cute blonde who is having a blast. These shoots are always so much fun, even if the food smashing thing isn't my most favorite when it comes to the fetish. Girls always seem to enjoy it and Rachel sure was.

It was during this shoot that I stopped for a quick Instagram (@SolesofSilk) picture. I had done a few during the earlier shoots too, but had an idea here. I snapped a picture of Rachel's feet in the now mushy mess. I posted that the first person on Instagram to tell me what kind of cake Rachel smashed in the picture would get a free one month membership to the site. It didn't take long with a few people saying carrot cake.

With five sets in the books and one tired photographer, I told Rachel we were done for the night. I set the camera down and grabbed her little feet. With all the carrot cake and icing smashed into her soles and toes, I massaged it right in. I had promised her a foot massage and thought it would be cute to do it with her feet all messy. She, however, decided to call me out on her Twitter page (@ModelRachelDD) afterward Tweeting, "Great shoot today w/ @SolesofSilk :-) Although wish we had more time 4 that #footrub I was promised! Guess means we gotta shoot again ;)."

Once the unique massage was over we began to clean up and gather our belongings. When shooting a bunch of sets I sometimes feel like I am moving in/out with all the stuff the models and I bring. Always nervous I'm leaving something behind, I did a few quick checks and then began carrying stuff out to the car. It was raining (began during the carrot cake shoot), so at least the forecast was somewhat right. Just glad it held out so I could take some great photos of the site's newest model, Rachel DD.

Would Love to Shoot #5 - Brianna, Rachel DD & Saffron

It's been months since I lived out some of my wildest fantasies in a blog. No, not the kinky, personal kinds. I'm talking about who I'd love to shoot photos of one day for Soles of Silk  It's been a while, but I thought it was a good time to mention some girls whose feet I'd love to have out in front of my camera in the fourth installment of the "Would Love to Shoot" blog series.

If this is your first time reading one of these installments, I am not saying that I have plans to shoot any of the following girls. Some of the girls found in this series have talked with me about possibly shooting one day. Other girls might just be ones to which I'm a huge fan boy. Either way, all the girls found in this series deserve some spotlight for their existing work and I fully suggest checking them out, if you haven't already.

Goddess Brianna

I've been a fan of Brianna's for a long time. When it comes to a girl who knows how to take charge of a guy, Brianna is the go to girl. Her words melt me every time I hear her in her clips. I could only imagine how teasing it would be to have her live in front of my camera.

When it comes to her feet, Brianna's are as talented and well versed in the fetish as you'll find. If you're into it and it involves female feet, I'm sure Brianna knows how to tease, and if you're lucky, please with your particular kink.

It would be such an honor to have this fetish veteran posing her soft little soles for me. And although I've never approached her about doing so, I sure wouldn't pass up the chance. For now though, I'm just a huge fan... or is that her foot bitch? I'm sure Brianna would say the latter.

I discovered Rachel DD's Twitter page last year through another model's. I found her to be very pretty and then was pleasantly surprised to find out she's from the Baltimore area. I followed her immediately and sent her a Tweet. I complimented her on her photos and about running Soles of Silk  I also mentioned being from the Baltimore area as well. She was quick to respond and we've since become online friends.

To this date I've not met up with Rachel for photos. When I found her it was the winter season and I had pretty much stopped shooting. I prefer doing outdoor sets and with the cold weather I had already shot a ton of material for the site. Fast forward to 2013 and I've just been so busy. I haven't contacted Rachelle about shooting this year, but I really need to do so. If she reads this blog, hopefully we'll be chatting soon.

Over recent months I've seen a lot more of Rachel's work on various sites and Clips4Sale stores. She's gained quite the following and it's easy to see why. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that one day soon this fellow Marylander will show her soles off for one of her neighbors (me). She'll be a welcome addition to the model roster.

Website: www.saffronfootbabe.com

I met Saffron on the Wu's Feetlinks Forum a little while ago. From the first comments I made on her photos she was nothing but super sweet and gave a lot of praise for my photos as well.

At some point in the months after I found Saffron on Twitter. We've since exchanged words numerous times and I told her that I've been thinking about going up to Canada. I told her I'd love to shoot with her while there, if she was game. She sounded ever so eager, so if there were ever a reason to get my passport, taking soles shots of Saffron would be high on that list.

In the years that I've run Soles of Silk I've come across many other web masters, photographers, and models. Most of these people have been great, but there are some you just know, before you ever meet them, that they're good people. I feel that Saffron would be one of those people and I really hope that one day I find myself up north with a camera pointed at those curvy arches. Until then, I'd continue to admire her work on her own site.

* The majority of the photography seen in this blog series does not come from Soles of Silk. Please see the watermarks on the photos themselves for the ownership of each picture as some of the models have posed for many sites.

Monday's Shoot - Ryan

I can always count on Ryan to take great photos whenever we shoot. From her 2011 debut in the Wu's Feetlinks Deadliest Catch feature set, up until today, she just has a presence, and above all else, has fun when in front of the camera.

My plan this summer was to try to get Ryan to do more sets than we had done in the past. Last year we only shot three new sets and we've already done that this year with plans to do a lot more next month. If you read the fifth part of the Soles of Silk Model Statuses blog series back in April you might remember what I said about shooting Ryan more often this year. If you missed it, here is what I said in that blog:

Why I don't have more pictures of Ryan is beyond me. I have a set of her waiting to be posted, but I work with the girl and she's also one of my best friend's roomates. We talk all the time about shoot ideas, so this year, I'm going to push to get her in front of the camera a little more often. I'm sure she won't mind and I'm sure you won't either.

Back in June Ryan and I actually planned on doing the shoot we did today. Mother Nature said otherwise, however, and it rained off and on the entire day. We soldiered on and ended up getting in two good sets nonetheless. Check out the blog Today's Shoot - Ryan (June 10, 2013) for how that day went.

But today was the day. Today was the day where Ryan and I finally got to do a shoot in front of some roller coasters. We planned on doing one of these shoots three summers ago, but that day the park was just so crowded and it would have eaten up a lot of our ride time. We said we'd do it on another date, but until now, never planned it. With the rain out mentioned in the blog piece above, we finally made new plans and Ryan got to bare her soles in front of some wild rides. It's extra fitting too as Ryan is also a big fan of roller coasters.

Ryan posing in front of a roller coaster.

When we entered the park we went straight to the back end. On the way I looked around for possible angles and places too shoot. Luckily for us the park was slow on this 90-plus degree day. It's either that or everyone was in the water park. Nevertheless, we had our pick of spots in front of the coasters.

As we walked back toward the front of the park we found several spots where there wasn't a soul in sight. Well, there were two soles in sight, and might I add, cute ones, but that's different. Sorry, couldn't pass up the chance for a cheesy pun. Anyhow, we snapped a bunch of photos in several locations and then did shoot and moves in others.

At one point we were walking through a part of the park where water jets shoot up out of the ground. I thought it would make for a cute photo as you could also see a couple of the coasters in the background. Ryan kicked off her shoes and I snapped a few shots. Out of nowhere this ride attendant comes from a nearby ride to tell Ryan she has to put her shoes on. I just laughed thinking to myself, "Yeah, that's not gonna happen in a few minutes when we walk away to the next location."

Once we made our way back to the front of park I told Ryan we had taken enough photos and could finally ride some rides. After my road trip vacation a few weeks ago my Coaster Counter app on my iPhone had me listed at 199 total roller coasters. With a coaster added to this particular park last year that I had yet to ride, that's where we went. I'm glad to have finally hit that 200 mark, but I'm much more excited by the turn out of Ryan's photos.

Sunday's Shoot - Mandy (New Model)

Today marks the third new model to be added to Soles of Silk in 2013, with Alaynah debuting in January and Shae Spreadz in February. Welcome Mandy, a friend and former coworker.

I made mention of Mandy back in May in a blog titled, "Upcoming Soles of Silk Shoots." For those who may have missed the blog, here is what I had to say about Mandy - who was listed under the header, "A Friend from the Past:"

During a recent Facebook conversation with a friend, she asked me why I never asked her to pose for my site. I told her it was because she once told me she had ugly feet, so why would I ask? She laughed and said that although she's not the best judge of feet, she more or less meant that her feet weren't pedicured and were not looking their best at that time. She didn't mean that they're ugly outright.
At one point I did catch a glimpse of her feet and although she has some longer toes (which are a hit with many), nothing stuck out as "ugly" about them to me. We did make plans to shoot in June, so you should be seeing her make her debut next month. And being a good friend of Kimmie and Kellie, you might just see her pop up in a set with them as well.

Since the blog post I have been in regular contact with Mandy about shooting. She has been nothing but eager - even throwing around possible ideas and themes for shoots. I always love having someone in front of the camera that is creative and wants to have some unique sets. Sadly our original plans to shoot in June did not happen, however. I agreed to find her another day to shoot, but with shoots with other models already planned and a vacation, we had to wait until July.

Well, today was that day and we had plans to shoot two sets. Mandy had some evening obligations, so our plan was to shoot early - although I much prefer to sleep in on Sundays. Luckily Mandy asked if we could push it back as she didn't need to be home as early as she thought. Even though it was only about an hour and a half of extra sleep, I welcomed it. An hour later I picked Mandy up at her place and we were on our way to what was supposed to be our first of two shoot locations. More on that later.

The first spot I wanted to use was something around the area where Emerald posed by the paddle boats (Sample 01 / Sample 02). It is a huge water fountain where you're able to walk up on top of, down around, and even underneath of the fountain itself. I've shot by fountains before, but nothing like this one. Mandy thought it was a neat location too, especially after seeing it in person.

After I went through my typical first timers speech, we were shooting her first pictures. It was a bright day with some good cloud cover. I know some people hate clouds, but I find it softens the sun and lessens the shadows. I find it also allows for you to shoot different angles without having to worry about the sun position as much. And of above all else, it made it a little bit cooler for the both of us.

Mandy's debut set on Soles of Silk.

We ended up shooting around the entire fountain from top to bottom. It was a fast moving set too until a couple arrived with three kids. We stepped back to let them run around, but quickly found out that running around meant about 52 laps. The mother even apologized to us as she saw us waiting to take pictures. I figured she'd tell the kids after a few laps that it was time to go elsewhere, but nope. It literally set us back about 20 minutes as I don't like shooting with kids in the frame.

When the kids were finally gone Mandy stuck her soles back out to the camera and I began firing off quick shots. I had her doing whatever poses came to her mind and I just snapped away. We then moved around to the opposite side of the fountain and began doing the same there. These poses made up for the lost time and even turned out to be some of the better photos of the set, in my opinion.

With the set done we decided to go to a nearby restaurant for a bite to eat and to cool off in the air conditioning. The atmosphere was nice, but our waitress didn't have a second gear. We were there way too long - even after we ate. This is when we decided that we'd be better off shooting her second set in the coming week.

So I'd like to welcome Mandy to the Soles of Silk model roster with her first set. I'm sure you'll be seeing her again and again with all the ideas we've talked about. This set will be posted on the July 24th update as Marcy has already been slotted for July 17. Until then, the sample photo above will just have to tease you for about a week. Knowing Mandy, I'm sure teasing you all would be her idea of fun. How perfect?

1K Club - Charlee's Footgraphy

Charlee really does LOVE posing for you.

In a blog feature back in May titled, "Soon to Join the 1K Club," I mentioned three models on the site who would be going over the 1,000 photo mark on the site without a doubt this year. Well, the first of those three models, Charlee, joined that club with the latest update on Soles of Silk.

Before I began the site's blog, I used to maintain a columns section in the Soles of Silk members area. Whenever a model would reach 1,000 photos I would do what became known as a "footgraphy." I made up the term based off of the filmographies you see online, or included in DVD bonus materials.

Since Charlee is the first model to go over the 1,000 photo mark since I started the blog, this might be your first taste of the footgraphies. The reason I do them is because I want to give models who have regularly posed for me the credit they deserve. The 1,000 photo mark seemed like a good benchmark for longevity.

Now, onto Charlee's footgraphy.

There are only a small handful of models on Soles of Silk who have posed for as many, or more photos than Charlee. I could see right away when she began posing that she was going to be a regular. With one exception of taking, oh, about nine months off, Charlee has been one of the site's mainstays since her debut in 2009. Sitting at 1,059 photos, Charlee is now the site's 10th model to join the 1K Club. Those models are (in order of photos):

  1. Cierra: 2,075 photos
  2. Mindee: 1,911 photos
  3. Madison: 1,832 photos
  4. Layla: 1,802 photos
  5. Kellie: 1,610 photos
  6. Wendy: 1,421 photos
  7. Jordana: 1,266 photos
  8. Kayleigh: 1,241 photos
  9. Kimmie: 1,094 photos
  10. Charlee: 1,059 photos <---
When Charlee debuted in 2009 she did so at the barely legal age of 18. In all honesty, I just texted her to ask if that sounded right. I knew she was only 18 when she did her first sets, but it just felt like she's been part of the site longer than four years. She said 2009 was the year she turned 18, so that would be the year. She sure did climb fast!

I remember shooting Charlee's first sets and there are times when you come away with a story that you'll never forget. That first shoot was one of them. We got together on a hot day and decided that for her debut, Charlee should rub popsicles all over her slender feet. Yes, she was having quite a bit of fun right off the bat. Anyhow, that part went according to plan. But where the memorable story comes from was how all the popsicles turned her feet green.

Charlee said after that shoot, "My feet look like the Hulk's."

We tried forever to get her feet clean while still on location with wipes, soap, and the water from our water bottles. It just didn't work. It was funny watching her try though. Long story short, we ended up back at my place with her feet in the bathtub. That got the green off in only a few minutes.

I could go on here for ages with other memorable stories from shoots with Charlee, but I've gone over each and every shoot on all the gallery pages within the site. I would, however, like to take a little trip down memory lane and showcase each and every set that she has done on the site. The shoots will be listed in the order that we shot them, not necessarily the order in which they were posted. This list will also include two unposted sets -  both of which I have included a sample shot from above and below this blog.

Here is a look back at Charlee's awesome work to date:

As you can see by the sample links above, Charlee has really come into her own over the years. She was a hit right away, but like many of the models on the site, I think she's only gotten better with each and every set. Sure, seeing a new girl pop onto the scene is always a blast - like it was when she was rubbing those popsicles all over her feet - but there is something to be said for the veterans too.

There are so many words I could use to describe Charlee's sets and personality. Not all the girls I've shot can pull it off, but she can. Like a girl who has some fun? You should have been there to watch her squish fruit between her toes and almost slip and fall on her ass. Prefer an exhibitionist? Well, Charlee sure doesn't mind sticking her soles out at my camera at a crowded amusement park or smack dab in the middle of Washington, D.C. How about a tease? Yeah, Charlee really excelled at her size tease set and has said numerous times that she wants to do more of them. If you like your girls in pairs, Charlee works well with others as she and Jamie kicked some ass (and balls too - and no, not those kind) in the two sets they did together. And how could I forget? If you like a girl who lets you nibble on her toes... oh wait, Charlee only gave into that once. Bragging rights! What? I'm not allowed to boast? Boast that after years of insisting she was too ticklish to let someone suck on her toes or lick her soles, that she spoiled her photographer and finally gave in. Okay, I won't talk about that. But I got a couple of photos she took that used to be my avatar over on Wu's Feetlinks Forum. Just saying...

With all that being said, it's about time to wrap this up. I have to go figure out where I'm going to take Charlee when we shoot on August 4. It will be nice to get to see her dreamy soles again. It's been too long since we last shot and too long since I last got my hands around those caramel colored feet. She's come to love and expect my foot rubs. August 4 is sure going to be a good day!
