As you read on Monday I was in contact with a lot of my models about planning some upcoming shoots (see blog: " News & Notes - March 2017 "). Well, after that blog was published, Jasey Rae and I struck up a conversation. The weather was slated to be in the low to mid 60's on Wednesday, so I asked her what her schedule looked like before our evening shift. She said she was open, so I asked her if she'd like to shoot.  It didn't take her long to respond with a, "Sure!" The fact that I had my first shoot of the year planned made me so excited. I've had the itch to shoot for months now. Shooting most of my content outdoors, I'm glad when the warm weather moves in to this region. Jasey, on the other hand, was excited to once again be the first model I shot in a calendar year. Last year she was the first model to do a shoot as well. Make sure you remember that fact. It'll probably make it onto the trivia contest at the end of the year! J

Since Camille (right) debuted in 2015, it's been a hope of mine to get her to shoot with her older sister, and one of the site's most photographed models, Kayleigh. I feel like it's been a while since I posted a general news and notes style blog entry. With spring upon us and shoots starting to be planned, I figured it was as good of time as any to give everyone some updates to what's going on with Soles of Silk . Existing Models Contacted Today I spent a few hours reaching out to all of my models who I still have contact information for. I shot them messages telling them that I hope to schedule something with them soon, and for those who haven't shoot in a while, that I'd love to get them back onto the site again. I ended up hearing back from a handful of them within minutes, or hours. Some of the others I had already talked to in recent weeks leading up today's mass contacting. Alice's feet are so big! And that's why I love them so very much! Since Alice burst onto the scene back in the spring of 2015 (see blog: " Monday's Shoot - Alice "), she's quickly become one of my most regular models. We met up a total of five times in 2015, shooting 11 sets - two of which were with Camille . In 2016 we met up five more times, shooting 11 more sets. That's 22 sets in two years! Yes, yes... I know, some of the sets haven't made it onto the site yet, but that's what happens when you shoot so many with one particular model. In just under two years Alice has become one of my go-to models. She's very similar to Mindee in so many regards. Both are super fun loving and casual. They love getting in some camera time. The two of them are always throwing ideas at me for future sets. And sometimes, I can even hit them up on a moment's notice for a quick set. That's exactly what happened for Alice's last set of 2016. Sh

Alice took got two of her friends, both who want to shoot for Soles of Silk this year, to take this photo during their girl's night last night. One thing I've learned since meeting Alice is to expect the unexpected. The other thing I've learned is to expect to love that which is unexpected. Seriously, she's a doll! The memories just keep piling up with her when it comes to Soles of Silk and last night was certainly one I won't be forgetting anytime soon. Alice sent me a text yesterday while I was at work. Since she sent it around 6 p.m., business was just picking up so I wasn't able to see it until I got off work around 8:30 - 9 p.m. The text she sent mentioned that she bought a pair of heels that she thinks would be perfect for an upcoming set we have planned.
