Mindee asked me if I wanted some, so I asked her what she had in mind. Her sister-in-law Rilynn , and their mutual friend, Noelle , she replied. They both are up for posing for the site, she said. ...Continued from " Hot Feet Week: 2016 Edition, Part 3 - Mindee & Kelsey " When I planned out some of my shoots for this week Kelsey grabbed Thursday, saying it was her best option to shoot. When Mindee also said she was open on Thursday, that's when I decided to have Mindee join in for a set. The original plan was to shoot Kelsey's solo sets first and then let Mindee know when we were done and where to meet us. Due to Mindee's schedule, however, we decided to do the two girl set to start the day, as seen in this series' previous entry. Both girls were introduced to me through Mindee . As excited as I was to photograph those two, and then do a three girls set that featured them with Mindee, I was also just as excited for the duo set I had planned to do today. That set would be Mindee and Kelsey .  This is set is something the three of us have talked about doing for some time now. I was glad that it was finally happening. Mindee even made mention of Kelsey as someone she'd like to shoot with years ago in her Modeling Interview on Soles of Silk . As far as Hot Feet Week 2016 is concerned, however, the biggest feel good moment might have happened here in the second part. What started a great, albeit hot day, with two new models making their debut, along with both of those models posing with Mindee , was practically undone by the end of the night! I switched cards, like I normally do, and left the filled card in my camera bag. I sit here, starting this blog just before midnight, against my better judgement. I have to get up early again tomorrow morning to take more photos. I'm just too excited not to share today's events and tease what else is coming, however. So, here we go... Some of you may remember back in 2012 when I did a Hot Feet Week series in the site's column section (which will be eventually transferred over to this blog as the others have been). That series saw me shoot six different models during a week long vacation. Well, I'm doing it again here four years later. And it couldn't have come at a better time with all the sets I've had rained out and/or postponed by models this year. That actually leads me to something else of note. The 2016 Hot Feet Week was supposed to start on Sunday with Alice , but she had some family matters to attend to. I totally understood. Over the last few weeks I've been watching the Soles of Silk Instagram account ( @SolesofSilk ) go from just over 13,000 followers to 14,000 followers. It seemed like every few days the listing would go from 13.1k, to 13.2k, to 13.3k, and so on. Well, this past weekend, the 14k finally ticked. Normally I'm not one to bring light to follower numbers. I find that oftentimes people only bring up their numbers to make themselves feel better than the next person. Well, to be quite honest, I couldn't care what anyone else has. I'm proud of that 14k and want to say thank you to everyone who has followed the site on Instagram. If you're one of those people not following the account, please consider doing so. A photo of Camille from one of her unpublished sets. Just under a month ago I published the second set to feature Camille on Soles of Silk . The set had Camille with our mutual friend, Alice , and had the two pouring bottles of baby oil all over their feet. It was a fun set from the only time I ever got to shoot with Camille. It took place back in August of 2015 when I got the two to shoot together. We came away with five amazing sets that day, four of which featured Camille in some capacity (see blog: " Monday's Shoot - Alice & Camille "). Posting this set, however, also made me a little sad. With two sets of Camille now on Soles of Silk, that means I only have two more remaining. "Why not just shoot more with her?" you may be asking. Well, several months ago, Camille moved to the West Coast. That move put a ton of mileage between us. At this time last year I had shot a total of 12 new sets, featuring six different models for the calendar year. So far this year, I've shot five new sets with three different models. Luckily for me, I shot so many new sets last year, I'm still sitting on more than half a year's worth of updates. Reasons like this are why I shoot extra when I can. But why the lack of shoots in 2016? Well, there are a number of reasons. Mindee and I decided to go ahead and shoot on a day calling for rain anyhow. Bad Weather From the start of the year bad weather has hampered my shoots - even an indoor one. Back in February I had Alice and Jasey Rae committed to doing a few sets together. As our date drew near, however, the forecast was calling for a bad snow storm, so we decided to do it at a later date. We still haven't planned a reshoot date yet. It seemed like every open day for weeks on end saw rain ruin my plans, especially in May. Mindee was my only shoot during May an
