Normally you get to read what the Sole Mates think about their feet, posing for Soles of Silk and what they think about the fetish in the Interviews section. Well, now it is time to turn the tables and let the sole mates ask me the questions they want answered — all revolving around feet of course. Sitting here on the Tuesday before the site's update I look at the Soles of Silk Forum and am pleased to say that it sure has grown in popularity during the last few weeks. As of 7:06 p.m. EST, the Soles of Silk Forum has 412 total posts. Not bad considering it created on Jan. 6, 2005. That averages out to be a little more than 10 posts a day. I give a lot of credit for the recent popularity of the forum to having some of the sole mates on periodically, posting messages and responding to their fans. As of today six sole mates have accounts for the forum. They are: Madison , Lauryn , Carmen , Cierra , Sara Swirls and Abby . It is the first ever, "Sweets for Feet Week" here at Soles of Silk. In celebration of Valentine's Day, there are a number of photo sets, both original and contributed, that are themed with food crushing, mainly sweets/desserts. So what better time to explore the added turn on of food with your feet? Last weekend I admitted my fetish to a new girl, Faith , at work while we were away at a work conference. I've always been asked, "Which do you like better, big feet or little feet?" A few years ago I would have answered that question with little feet, especially tiny ones like Cierra's size 4's or Carmen's size 5.5's. But over the years I have grown to appreciate all sizes of female feet. And I can't figure out why some people discriminate against big female feet. If the girl who walks on them keeps them looking nice, I'm all about them. Size 10? Love them. Size 11? Let me see! Bigger??? Can I please take some pictures of them? There is nothing wrong with bigger feet, in my opinion. So far, the biggest feet appearing on Soles of Silk are Amber's size 9s. I think her feet are wonderful and I have always been fond of them. For about seven years now I have been know to many of my friends as the "foot guy." Yes, I have gotten teased and messed with over an over, but in the long run, being open about my foot fetish has had more than its share of benefits—female friends wanting foot massages, showing off their fresh pedicures, wanting me to critique their shoes, and best of all, modeling proposals. The site has grown to feature nine models and four contributors for 555 total photos thus far. But it sounds like many of you are still interested in photos from my old site, The 10 Little Piggies. Well, there is some good news for those of you who have expressed an interest in the days of old. In the morning hours of Jan. 9, anyone walking around Baltimore's most popular tourist area, the Inner Harbor, might have spotted me with a model named Carmen (making her debut on Soles of Silk on Jan. 19). Let me first thank each and every one of you who have joined this site in its first week. This first week has been one of much joy for me and the models. Working on this project since July had me yancy to get the ball rolling last week and I was welcomed by so many of you. Thank you for your kind words and advice. Okay, I know it is cheesy, but everyone has their own awards for movies, music and even video games, so why not foot fetish web sites? Although I have not had Soles of Silk online for all of 2004, I have been surfing the Web for years on end. I can remember when there were only a handful of foot fetish Web sites. Now there are too many to count. Anyhow, looking back on the year that was 2004 and the sites and foot gals I have seen online, I went ahead and made my own foot fetish awards for eight categories. The categories are: Best Foot Fetish Site, Best Soles, Best Toes, Best Arch, Best Wrinkled Soles, Best Big Feet, Best Little Feet and Best Toe Spreader. When I interview each of the sole mates for the interviews section of this site I always ask them, "If you could have any ‘famous person massage your feet, who would he/she be?'"
