When I first began to explore my fetish years ago I quickly realized that there are countless sub-genres to this little fetish of ours. While I don't exactly enjoy all of them, I try to include some variation on the site when it comes to the sets I post. In this entry to the Soles of Silk F.A.Q. blog series I am going to take a look at some of the sub-genres you will find on the site and how I determine which ones I shoot. The fourth Soles of Silk Wallpaper Design Contest is done, judged, and in the books. It's time to announce the winners and show off thumbnails of those who won. All 17 entries are available at their full size in the Downloads area of the site. Initially I announced that there would be six total prizes awarded: three 3-month prizes and three 1-month prizes was the original plan. A grand prize and runner up prize would be awarded for artwork based on each of the three models: Marcy , Mariah , and Mindee . Well, I changed the prizes and for the better! With the changes, there are more chances to win, and chances to win more than the 3-months maximum I had originally planned. It feels like I haven't shot any photos in ages. I've really been itching to shoot some new sets, but truth be told, I'm still sitting on a lot of the ones I shot last year. I really did go all out with shooting in 2013. Anyhow, in 2014 the only shoot I've done thus far was with Lela Beryl during the midst of a snow storm. Well, that weather is long gone and today was in the mid to upper 60s - perfect for getting in some foot fetish photos. Today's model? None other than Mindee ! The set that began inspiring my newly found love of nude hose. I've always been a barefoot guy. I've always preferred women's feet bare over other means, but I have to be honest here. Nude hose has been doing it for me lately! As a kid growing up I always adored women wearing stockings. At that point I was more into legs than anything else. Eventually I began noticing women's feet, but never really tied the two fetishes together. As I grew older and began exploring the fetish, I saw that the love for stockings, whether pantyhose, thigh highs, knee highs, or any other variation, was enormous. When I met Kim T. and her then husband, I met two people heavy into the pantyhose scene. It rubbed off on me somewhat, but I still remained a barefoot guy. The following blog is a repost (with some slight alterations and updates) of a column posted to Soles of Silk on Dec. 7, 2011. I'm sharing it again with great reception of the Captain America: Winter Soldier movie and the hype of the upcoming movies such as: Guardians of the Galaxy, Amazing Spider-Man 2, and X-Men: Days of Futures Past. When Mindee did her Power Girl feature set on Wu's Feetlinks and then Jamie did one with Batgirl ( Sample 01 / Sample 02 ), I knew I had the start of an ongoing series on my hands. Life. It's not always fair. Over the years two girls who I once considered among my best friends, and who also modeled for this site, moved away. Those two girls were Carmen and Madison . Those two were also two of the most popular models during the site's early years and then they were gone. Just like that. Gone! Moved away with little to no contact since. I guess they just needed or wanted change in their lives. Two weeks ago yet another one of the models mentioned she might be moving and my stomach sank. Just like it was with Carmen and Madison, I consider this girl to be a close friend. She's probably the best female friend I've ever had. This model... This friend is Mindee .
