Soles of Silk Blog

Beginning in 2015 I began naming Soles of Silk's Star Models, which was a listing of the three models who shot the most photos that calendar year. While putting together 2017's Star Model list, I began to wonder just who the site's Star Models were from 2004-14. That curiosity got the best of me and I decided to go ahead and retroactively name those star models in a blog series. I had quite a few surprises along the way too. (Remember: These are sets shot, not published during the course of the year.) My first full year of shooting for Soles of Silk led to numerous new models. Most were my every day friends, and some happened to be foot models from other sites. Early on I established that Soles of Silk would be a mix of both, with my casual take on content. I've never been about shooting in studios, using backdrops, and the like. My idea has always been to portray my models, no matter how "professional" they are, in everyday settings. One of the most common emails I get are ones asking me about a particular status of someone's favorite model(s). A few years ago I did a series that informed people of the status of all the models on the site. Since that was some time ago and new models have since made their way onto the site, I figured it would be a good time to do an all new version. With 88 models on  Soles of Silk  as I write this, I have decided to break the series into 11 parts, each one featuring eight of the site's models. Last week I was busy coming up with the nomination and the voting format for the return of the Wu's Feet Links Hall of Fame (WFLHoF). When it came time to make the announcement on the Wu's Feet Links Columns Blog I made a neat little discovery I had never noticed since 2005. After completing the blog, " The Return of the Wu's Feet Links Hall of Fame ," I decided to dress it up a little with some images. I did a screen shot of a sample ballot, but I wanted some feet on there too. I figured a photo of one of the current WFLHoF members would make sense and of the seven inductees, I went with an image of Lexi . She was the most recent inductee and therefore, her photos were the largest when it came to scale. I didn't want to stretch one of the smaller images from circa 2000 on the blog, so Lexi it was. As you know, each week Soles of Silk posts a contribution set in addition to the site's original content. I have been busy talking to web masters and foot models from other sites around the net looking for contributors since before this site was even published online. I started off with two of my best Web friends in Bellecita of Bellecita's Feetish and Genie of 1 Genie's Feet. Both have always been willing to contribute to my other ventures in the past. Much to my happiness, both sent me photo sets right away while I was still building Soles of Silk. Then I began reaching out to a few other foot gals and web masters who I've talked with over the years — people like Britney of Britney Sweetstink, Janet of Janet's Foot Tease, Lexi of Lexi's Foot Fetish and Nikki of Nikki's Arches. A
