Last week I had plans to do a shoot with Kelsey , but she ran into some scheduling issues. Luckily I had Alice eager to make her debut, so the two models switched their photo dates. I did two photo sets with Alice last Monday (see blog: " Monday's Shoot - Alice ") and this Monday I was finally able to catch up with Kelsey today for the first time since 2013 for a set. The reason it's been a while since Kelsey and I last shot is because she became a mother for the second time in 2014. And for that reason today, it set us back slightly due to her having to find a sitter for her sons. She made it work, however, and then went out to get a pedicure. When Kelsey arrived at the nail salon she sent me a text to ask what color I'd like her to get on her toes. I replied, "Teal."  Up until this point, Kelsey has never had teal or anything close in the blue or green range. Back in January I added a blog to the Soles of Silk Blog titled, " Shoots to Look Forward to in 2015 ." In the piece I had a section about Amelia titled, "Speaking of Moving Models," where I talked about Amelia informing me that she would be moving out of state and how she wanted to try to squeeze in some photos beforehand. Needless to say, I was sad to hear she'd be moving. Fast forward to a few weeks ago. While talking with her on the phone she mentioned to me that she was no longer moving away. I felt bad that her plans didn't work out, but at least that meant I'd be able to find more time to spend with this fun-loving model and friend of mine. I always love the chance to shoot new models for Soles of Silk and today marks the first new model to be added to the site in 2015. Meet Alice . I've worked with Alice for a few years now. When she turned 18 last year Alice was interested in modeling for the site, but we never made plans before the cold weather arrived. Over the winter we kept talking about shooting and Alice assured me it was something she really wanted to do. I said once the weather warmed up, she'd be doing just that. Just a few days ago Alice and I were exchanging texts about scheduling her first shoot. We threw around several dates, but when Kelsey asked me if she could postpone the shoot she was scheduled to do today, I asked Alice if she wanted to go ahead and shoot.
