Earlier this year I did an email exchange with Wu of Wu's Feetlinks . Over the years he asked me to do feature sets for his Feature Model section on almost an annual basis. This year's model was scheduled to be Olivia and she was so happy to be representing Soles of Silk this time around. And then the updates stopped at Wu's Feetlinks. At first, no one knew why. Did Wu retire? Did he lose his passion? Was he sick? Well, it took months, but we finally found out that Wu had passed away. The entire community was saddened and we wondered what would become of Wu's Feetlinks without the main man in charge. Thankfully BHE is tending to the site with the assistance of community members. Now that 2013 is over and done, it is time to look forward to 2014. I have a lot of existing content ready to go over these cold winter month that you're all going to love. But when spring comes closer, I'm going to be itching to pull the camera out and have lots of bare feet in front of me. Once the piggies come out to play, there are so many things I'm looking forward to. Some things I'm already planning, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed on some others. So... onto the wish list! Oh boy this one was hard! Coming up with a list of my 10 favorite photo sets from 2013 wasn't so easy. I tried coming up with some criteria to make things easier, which it did, but not by much. The only sets I considered for this list are the ones that were published during the 2013 calendar year. So regardless of when they were shot, it is the sets that went online for an update in 2013. That also means all the sets I shot this year that haven't been published were not considered. And just because it wasn't published to Soles of Silk itself, Aspen's Star Spangled Cutie Wu's Feetlinks feature gallery set wasn't eligible. Whew! It's been quite a while since I've posted a blog about some of the upcoming shoots that are on the horizon. And even though my original plan was to slow down by September, my upcoming schedule of shoots says otherwise. And if you're wonder why I would be slowing down, let me explain. I've always enjoyed shooting outdoors. While I'm not opposed to indoor sets, I love finding unique locations for my models to pose. I aim to make each and every set as different as possible. Obviously some sets are better off being done indoors, but my preference is to be outside. Since the weather in the Baltimore/D.C. area can tend to get quite cold once winter sets in, I always shoot a bunch of extra sets before the fall. This year, however, I've gone above and beyond shooting enough sets to last through the winter! As you can see by the screen shot above, I current sit on 68 sets - none of which have been posted.
