1,000 Toes In: The First 100 Models of Soles of Silk, Pt. 3 (Camille - Danaya)
Welcome to the third installment of the "1,000 Toes In" blog series. This series celebrates on each of the first 100 models to appear on Soles of Silk. All of these models deserve all the praise I will throw their way in these 10 blog entries. Please be sure to check out all the previous entries, as well as any newer ones, once they're published. Camille and I used to work together, just like her older sister, Kayleigh. Knowing about Soles of Silk through her sister, Camille was interested in shooting soon after her 18th birthday. We didn't shoot immediately after, but she did end up tagging along on a shoot that saw her team up with our mutual friend, and at the time, mutual coworker, Alice. The two shot some solo sets as well as a couple of multi-model sets that featured some amazing size comparison shots. With Camille's size 7's next to Alice's size 11's, it was a sight to behold.
Not too long after her shoot, Camille moved across the country and I honestly thought I'd never get the chance to shoot her again. I told her that if she were to ever come home to visit family, I'd like to get some time in to shoot with her again. I even tossed around the idea of heading out her way for a little vacation and shoot combo. I never made it out her way, but she did come home and get in some shoot time with me in 2017.
Just this week, Camille got married and she mentioned several weeks prior that she wasn't sure if she'd be shooting anymore moving forward. She enjoys it, but her now-husband isn't too keen on it. I respect her honesty, but am saddened that I never got to team her up with Kayleigh for that Dream Duo team up from my "Dream Duo's #3" blog. Although... Kayleigh and Camille have another sister who just might shoot this year too. Man, it would have been awesome to have a three sister shoot. It would have been a first for the site.

When I finally got to shoot Carlin in 2010, I felt like I had hit the lottery. You see, I always thought Carlin was a cutie in high school. We didn't know each other and not being in the same grade or classes, I never introduced myself. It was either those reasons, or I was just a pussy.
Fast forward a number of years and through our mutual friend, Carmen, Carlin knows all about Soles of Silk. At first she was not able to shoot, but eventually decided to do so. I still remember her first day. She was so nervous and I was so ecstatic, but not trying to show it. We did several shoots and I went home knowing I had a great new model on the site.
Over the next two years, Carlin shot several more times, getting in her 10 photo sets and 615 photos listed above. We keep saying how we need to shoot, but never seem to make plans. She has a lot going on, but we do hit each other up from time to time. I really need to make plans with her. Maybe I should just put out some dates and tell her to pick one? Sometimes it's just best to say "let's do this" instead of talking about it all the time.
I really hope we can find the time to shoot again as Carlin isn't just a beautiful model for my site, but someone I always liked hanging out with for a few hours and being nerds with. She loves comics, art, writing, and we just get along so very well. It would be nice to see her and catch up after a six year hiatus!

And here is the person who introduced me to Carlin, up above. Carmen shot for Soles of Silk immediately following it's launch. I wanted her for the launch, but due to some relationship issues, she wasn't able to shoot. When she freed herself from that relationship, she came right to me and asked to be a part of the site. Only problem was, it was early January and cold! She didn't care, though, and we shot several sets downtown shortly after the new year.
Carmen was an immediate success upon her debut. She loved all the feedback she was getting and even stopped by the Soles of Silk Forum found on the Wu's Feet Links Forum. She's say hello to everyone from time to time for the first few years, as did a couple other models. She had a blast being a part of all this, but then up and moved about 8-10 hours away. We remained friends, but I wasn't sure if I'd get the chance to shoot her again.

Of course I opened up my schedule for such an event and we got in a handful of photos over the course of a two days. Sadly, those photos would be the last time we shot. We've grown apart and only say hello to each other from time to time online. I don't know what she's up to these days, but I'll always cherish my memories of Carmen - one of my go-to female friends for quite some time. She was adorable and I do miss her company and conversations. If she ever came back and shot new photos, I would make it a massive event. Think I should try?

Ah, Charlee! A former coworker and now, longtime friend of mine who just loves getting in front of the camera, and all the foot rubs I treat her to before, during, and after our shoots. Okay, every set we shoot! Yes, I've truly spent countless hours down at her smooth size 7.5 feet. Come to think of it, I haven't spent enough time before them. Good thing we shoot a lot!
As you can see, Charlee is a member of the 1K Club, earning entry in 2013. Here, in 2018, she's 307 photos shy of becoming only the third model, behind Cierra and Mindee, to enter the 2K Club. With 12 unpublished sets waiting to go onto the site, it goes without saying that she already has enough content shot to make that happen. Hell, she has enough to put her well on her way to becoming only the second model to enter the 3K Club behind Mindee. Knowing Charlee, she's be intent on making that happen, for sure. Yay for more photos and foot rubs coming my way!
I can always count on Charlee for some great photos and a day of fun. I've always enjoyed spending time with her and going on little adventures. She's someone who is always honest, but caring at the same time. It's so nice to have her still shooting for me approaching 10 years now.

Chloe is someone many of you loved, which only made her enjoy doing this even more. I always adored her feet, myself, and she just loved getting them into my hands once I put the camera down, or when we hung out. I figured she'd end up being one of my regulars for many years to come, but after she got a new job, we began to lose touch. I still see her from time to time, but we haven't really had much more than a passing, "Hello, how are you?" type of conversation.

This blonde cutie was introduced to me via Layla. Layla and I were shooting quite a bit for a number of years and she asked me several times if I would be interested in shooting someone else that she knew, or had coming by to shoot for her former site. Chrystine was was of those models.
I had never met Chrystine prior to the day I drove out to Layla's, but I was instantly comfortable with her from the start. She was super sweet and fun to be around. She had fun in front of my camera and I got in a few solo sets as well as a couple of her alongside Layla. Those sets all happened the first and only time I ever got to shoot with her. We kept in touch online for a short time following her shoot, but that was over 10 years ago now and I couldn't tell you what she's up to these days, or even if she's still modeling.

There is so much I could say about Cierra in regards to who she is and what she's done for Soles of Silk. As you can see above, she's one of the site's original eight models and over the years, she's racked up quite the resume. I could go on forever about her and all that she's done, but I want to keep things brief for each model in this blog series.
Cierra shot for me when I didn't even have a site to show - just some samples photos of the three models I shot before her. Little did I know, at the time, she'd be just one of two models from the site's launch to shoot regularly up until this day, with the other being Mindee. And although she hasn't shot since 2015, I still consider her an active model because she's been going through a lot and we just haven't been able to schedule anything. She still wants to shoot, so I think I should give her some dates and try to make things happen.

In the site's earliest years, Madison, Kellie, and Layla were three of my most photographed models. Then Cierra began shooting at such a pace she would eventually become the first model to join the 2K Club. She held that spot alone for some time, until Mindee made it her mission to become the site's most photographed model. We all know how much she shoots these days!
I'm hoping to get in some camera time with Cierra again and am probably going to hit her up once I finish up this blog entry. I miss her and those trademark, sweaty feet. I know it's tough for her to find time to shoot, but I'll take whatever I can get. Even if we shot 5 sets of her on the couch with different themes, I'll take it. I'd love to have Cierra's photo count rise again.

Hey! Look! Another former coworker! I told you that this would be a trend. Colleen is the seventh model on this entry alone who used to work with me at some point in time. Hell, she's the 17th in the blog series up to this point and we're only on the third installment.
Colleen is someone who I always thought to be beautiful, but outside of work, we didn't really hang out much. When she became friends with Kelsey, eventually she and I became closer and she agreed to shoot for me. Her first time she came out with Kelsey and I and the plan was to do a solo set with each, followed by a duo set. We ran out of sunlight to do the duo, which I still wish I had gotten in to this day. I was never able to get the two of them together again.
Colleen has shot for me several times since her debut, always doing great shots. You can see she had regular appearances in my annual 10 Favorite Photo Sets blogs when she was shooting with me on a regular basis. Sadly, however, it's been five years since our last shoot. We haven't worked together in years, and although we were shooting after she left, we slowly grew apart. Good news, however! I recently hit her up and she said she's game for a comeback. We didn't set anything up yet, but I'm sure hoping this happens and I'm obviously looking forward to more awesome sets with her and her slender size 8.5's.

I met Danaya through a photographer/web master that she used to work with on another site. He put us in touch and I found out that she lived only 15 minutes away. We made plans to shoot at her place one night and we hit it off quite nicely. I loved her little size 6 feet and wanted to make her a regular on Soles of Silk.
The reason why that never ultimately happened, however, was because of a computer failure I had years ago. I lost a lot of my email contacts and it took me some time to retrieve them. When I hit up the photographer who put Danaya and I in touch to begin with, he made it known that the two of them no longer got along. I was left without her information, just hoping that she'd hit me up instead. That never happened and those size 6 beauties above only ever made the two appearances on the site.
