Today... talk about a day that is hard to categorize! So many things went wrong, but some awesome things did result from the efforts. Still, I sit here drained and ready for bed. Still, I'm going to write this blog about the sets I shot with Melani about nine hours ago. The day began when I picked up Melani around 10 a.m. Knowing the amount of time it would take to drive to our location of Rehoboth Beach in Delaware, there was no need to go super early. The sun wouldn't be in a good position to do anything on the beach looking out over the ocean, although it did kind of screw us over on our first shoot, which I'll get to below. First however, let's talk about my back being super tight when I woke up. For some reason my lower back muscles were inflamed and sitting in the car wasn't helping. With a two hour and a half hour drive ahead, I ended up having to stop at a rest stop to get some pain relievers. I could barely keep up with Melani walking through the parki

Well, Sunday, July 9, 2017 marks a first for me. Today I shot the site's first ever, mom and daughter combo. I've shot cousins, sisters, even twins, but never a mother and daughter - not even separately. Now I have! Please welcome to the site, Mindee's mom, Shelby . I've known Ms. Shelby for years now. Mindee is one of my best friends and I've always been friendly with her family. Never did I think that one day, 13 years after Mindee modeled for her first ever photos for Soles of Silk , that her mom would one day join the roster too. Better late than never, huh? Saturday evening I exchanged a number of texts with Mindee about today's shoot. I knew some possible themes, but I was honestly drawing a blank. I also didn't know how her mom would react to certain themes, or wearing certain footwear - such as stockings or thigh high socks. Yesterday... Talk about a roller coaster day of shooting - and no, I'm not talking about shooting at an amusement park here. Yesterday's shoot with Alice was months in the making. It was also one that started off with a bang, then turned into one that had me wanting to rip my hair out. Ultimately, however, Alice and I fought back and came away with some of the best photos that I feel that I've shot in some time. For any of you who have been reading this blog, namely the blog titled, " Wu's Feature History - Mindee 2016 )," you know that I had already named Alice as next year's feature model for Wu's Feet Links in the closing statement. With that in mind, we set out to make use of yesterday's photo destination, Seaside Heights, NJ, and go ahead and shoot that feature, which will be published in July 2017. More on that later. ...Continued from " Hot Feet Week: 2016 Edition, Part 5 - Rilynn & Noelle w/ Mindee " The saying goes, "Good things come to those who wait." Well, wait for these sets I have. And just when I thought I was going to get them on Tuesday, bad impending weather, and some issues caused the shoot to be pushed back until today (Sunday). It all paid off, however, as I'm happy to say that Felicia is finally back! The last time I shot Felicia was back in 2014. She made a late debut in November of that year and then brought her twin sister, Bridgette aboard. The two of them posed for a Christmas and New Years set in back-to-back updates to finish off 2014 and bring in 2015. Then in April, I did a double update of Felicia to celebrate May 4th - as in "May the Fourth Be With You." Yeah, Felicia is a nerd too, especially when it comes to Star Wars. Anyhow, Felicia and I weren't able to schedule a shoot last year due to this, that, and the other thing

I sit here, starting this blog just before midnight, against my better judgement. I have to get up early again tomorrow morning to take more photos. I'm just too excited not to share today's events and tease what else is coming, however. So, here we go... Some of you may remember back in 2012 when I did a Hot Feet Week series in the site's column section (which will be eventually transferred over to this blog as the others have been). That series saw me shoot six different models during a week long vacation. Well, I'm doing it again here four years later. And it couldn't have come at a better time with all the sets I've had rained out and/or postponed by models this year. That actually leads me to something else of note.
