This year was an odd year for me when it came to shooting. In years past I have shot a majority of my sets outdoors during the spring, summer, and early fall. I always liked to meet up with my friends and shoot two or three sets at a time when the weather is nice and they had some open time. In 2025, however, most of my sets were done indoors and shot during some of the coldest months of the year. This meant that I would make use of the indoor space by shooting four, five, six, and even up to nine sets all in a single get together. This shooting method meant all the models who shot in 2025 would see their photo counts rise in chunks, often moving them up and down the ongoing Star Model listing everytime I shot with them, or with someone else. At any given time, they could go from tops on the list to the very bottom. Then, when we'd shoot again, they'd rocket right back to the top. There might be four days left in 2024, but I've shot all the new content I'm going to shoot this year. As much as I'd love to see some soft soles and wiggling toes in front of me and my camera, that's going to have to wait until 2025. And yes, I already have plans being set in motion for some awesome content next year.  A new model will be making her way to the site, a few fun holiday themed sets are in the works, as well as several team ups - some new and some popular ones that you all love from before. That's enough about next year. Let's focus on what happened in 2024. In 2024 I worked with seven different models: Leah , Dakota , Charlee , Ava , Audrey , Roxy , and Kelsey . Each one of them did amazing work, but the annual Star Model ranking celebrates the three models who shot the most in a calendar year. Another year comes to a close here on Soles of Silk . Once more I am here to celebrate the models who spent the most time in front of my camera wiggling their toes, kicking off their sneakers, squishing some yummy foods under their soles, and all kinds of other fun things they did with their feet in 2023. These ladies deserve all the accolades for going above and beyond. Every shoot was a great time and the results, well, let me just say you'll be seeing a lot from these ladies when My 10 Favorite Sets of 2023 is published next week. Before moving on, however, I'd like to mention that this year was a tough one for me. I had some personal things I needed to work out earlier this year. Those things paired with a few regular models stepping away, made scheduling shoots a little tough this year. One could say that 2022 was the year of returns for Soles of Silk . I worked with only 10 models throughout the course of the year to create new content. The majority of them hadn't had any camera time in over a year, with one coming close to six years. Even a few regulars hadn't shoot in quite some time. They just had so many sets in my backlog, waiting to be published, that one would never know. To the naked eye, they appeared as if they've never been gone.
