Beginning in 2015 I began naming Soles of Silk's Star Models, which was a listing of the three models who shot the most photos that calendar year. While putting together 2017's Star Model list, I began to wonder just who the site's Star Models were from 2004-14. That curiosity got the best of me and I decided to go ahead and retroactively name those star models in a blog series. I had quite a few surprises along the way too. (Remember: These are sets shot, not published during the course of the year.) This first year for Soles of Silk was one where I did all of the sets over a few months as I prepared to launch the site by 2015. I actually got done ahead of schedule and the site launched on Dec. 29, 2004. Soles of Silk launched with eight models, half of which find themselves on the 2004 Star Models listing. One of the most common emails I get are ones asking me about a particular status of someone's favorite model(s). A few years ago I did a series that informed people of the status of all the models on the site. Since that was some time ago and new models have since made their way onto the site, I figured it would be a good time to do an all new version. With 88 models on  Soles of Silk  as I write this, I have decided to break the series into 11 parts, each one featuring eight of the site's models. I hope this helps you learn a little more about the status of each one of the models on the site whose work you enjoy! There was no Soles of Silk at the time - just a concept and a photographer eager to take pictures of barefoot girls once more. For those who don't know, I used to run a few free sites in my college years. I started out showing off my artistic photography revolving around the female foot, but as time progressed and I began learning more about web design, I started to add pages for each of the girls who I shot to the site. Before I had even posted Soles of Silk online I had to get a bunch of photos in the books to begin the site with. I had photographed a handful of models and one of those was Lisa Tyler . Lisa used to run the site Forever Feet and I admired her and her feet when I saw a feature model set she did on Wu's Feet Links . I contacted her and found that she was willing to model for Soles of Silk, even though I had nothing to show for the site online at the time. Now as most of you know, Soles of Silk combines the girl next door who has never modeled in her life, with the girl who models for a living, with those who even run their own foot fetish sites. Let me first thank each and every one of you who have joined this site in its first week. This first week has been one of much joy for me and the models. Working on this project since July had me yancy to get the ball rolling last week and I was welcomed by so many of you. Thank you for your kind words and advice. I also learned that about a half a dozen of you had some difficulties joining the site when it first launched. I apologize for the inconvenience. I saw membership sign up letters coming in for Soccer Mom Feet and quickly notified BHE . They took care of the problem and everything should now be in working order.
