Sunday, December 29, 2024 marked a huge milestone for  Soles of Silk  - that being 20 years online. I began work on the site back in 2004 as a passion project after running several free sites in prior years. Little did I know, so many of you would love the content I shoot so much that I'd still be here doing this 20 years later. In the weeks and months to come, I will be sharing a series of blogs titled the "20 Years of Soles of Silk Retrospective," looking back through the countless memories I've made along the way.  I ask you to join me in celebrating these memories, none of which were possible without all of you and the 114 different models who shared their feet with us. I am someone who always likes to give my models as much credit and focus as possible when it comes to what they have done for Soles of Silk . This is why I have created the "K Clubs" when a model reaches a 1,000 photo mark. To this day, there are 14 models who have reached the 1K mark, two who have reached 2K, and one model who has gone on to hit 3K and 4K. All that being said, there are a handful of models who are less than 100 photos shy from reaching 1K, and that model who's gone on to 3K and 4K is now just shy of 5K. I'd like to look at each of them, their current photo counts, how many photos they need, and the overall likelihood of them reaching it. Beginning in 2015 I began naming Soles of Silk's Star Models, which was a listing of the three models who shot the most photos that calendar year. While putting together 2017's Star Model list, I began to wonder just who the site's Star Models were from 2004-14. That curiosity got the best of me and I decided to go ahead and retroactively name those star models in a blog series. I had quite a few surprises along the way too. (Remember: These are sets shot, not published during the course of the year.) In 2005 I had two sisters featured as Star Models when Kimmie and Kellie both found their way in front of my camera a bunch of times that year. Jump ahead four years and in 2009 I have another sister duo featured as Star Models. These two aren't twins, but they sure were popular with everyone!
