Friday's Shoot - Abby
She's baaaaaaaack! It's been a few years, but Abby has returned. I know many of will be just as happy as me to see those wrinkled soles on the site once again. She's been at this for a long time, shooting foot photos for me in our college days. The days of 35mm photography. After seeing the outcome of yesterday's shoot though, she's apparently like fine wine. She just gets better with age.
I won't make this long winded as I know you want to get into the samples below. Just know that this was a few weeks in the making and I couldn't have been any happier with the results. Welcome back Abby! Let's make sure we get in some more camera time again soon, okay?
Now, onto these sets...
Set 1: Shae Oiled Soles
Although she's done baby oil in the past, it has been a while. We needed an easy/casual set to kick things off and thought having her do another oily set would be perfect. This time around, it's Shae oil and it made those already soft soles of hers, super slick.
I was able to capture some shots of Abby pouring the oil over the tips of her toes, as you can see above. Later in the set, however, Abby turned onto her side and I shot some amazing shots of her upturned soles. I can't tell you how much I loved those photos, so I shot a bunch while she was in that position. Believe me, you're going to love them too.
Set 2: Want Some Candy?
A couple of days ago I was tossing out some ideas for sets and told Abby I was thinking of having her do one with candy. She liked the idea. I had no idea what candy to use though. I decided to just go to the store and look through what they had.
Knowing Abby would be wearing a bright pink shirt for the set, I decided to go with some sour apple Sweet Tarts Rope candy. I liked the idea of the bright green popping against the pink. As I grabbed a pack I saw a box of watermelon and berry combo Ropes too. They were green and pink together. I grabbed a pack of those and then decided to just even out the pink and green with a pack of the pink strawberry Ropes. So one green, one pink, and one green and pink combo.
Did it look good? Oh yes it did. And as you can see, Abby liked how they tasted too.
Set 3: Abby's Turn
Since it's been so long since Abby and I last shot, she's someone I never got to shoot with Soles of Silk's infamous clear flip flops. You've seen countless sets with this same exact pair of flip flops on a bunch of models' feet. Those models included: Reese, Kelsey, Audrey, Ava, Leah, Charlee, and Roxy. We can now add Abby to this list. And I doubt she'll be the last.
Yes, these flip flops were too big for Abby, but that hasn't stopped me in the past. Remember Leah's set with these flip flops? They dwarfed her tiny feet. The same was true for Abby. And just like with Leah, Abby's feet looking tiny inside them was adorable.
Set 4: Genesis Gamer Girl
And we saved the best for last. For years now I've been shooting my models with some of my retro game consoles. I've done a bunch of them including PlayStation 1, XBox, Nintendo Entertainment System, GameCube, among several others. One I had yet to do, until yesterday, was a Sega Genesis. That console was a favorite of mine growing up so it made me happy to finally include it in a set.
The red fishnets were ultimately Abby's idea. I had them in my bag full of socks and stockings and she fell in love with them the moment she saw them. She had her eyes on a pair of black and white thigh high socks, but those stockings changed her mind real quick. I forgot I even had them, so I'm glad she pulled them out. They looked great on her and really made this set pop.
It was great getting to catch up with Abby again and do some more sets for all of you. I told her we have to do it again sometime soon. She liked that idea, so hopefully that will happen sooner rather than later. I'd also love to get her in some team ups with other models too. I'm sure Audrey would love to shoot with her and it would also be wild to see her with Kelsey again. The two of them shot together all the way back in 2006. Together again after 20 years? Maybe even do another tickling set to pay homage to the original? Who knows? Would you like to see that? I know I would!
