Monday's Shoot - Roxy
It's been months since Roxy and I last shot new content for Soles of Silk. If I remember correctly, it was a hot summer month on the waterfront while some random girls did topless photos on a jet ski off in the distance. And usually my foot photos are what draws people's attention when shooting in public.
With it being February here, we definitely weren't shooting these sets outside. So there would be no outdoor piggies or titties on this day. It's been in the low 20's for over a week's time leading up to yesterday. While we did get some warmer weather moving in this week, these photos were going to be done indoors and we were aiming to shoot somewhere between four to six sets. We came away with six. Here's a look at the ones we did:
Set 1: Clear Flip Flops - Roxy's Turn
Reese, Kelsey, Ava, Audrey, and Charlee. These models had all worn the now infamous pair of clear flip flops in a set since I ordered them a couple of years ago. The plan was for only Kelsey to wear them, but before that happened, I came up with the idea to have as many models as I could wear them. Now we can add Roxy to the list and best of all, she won't be the last.
I'm looking to have Leah, Mika, Abby, and Kaycee in them at some point too. Of course, if any other new models make their debuts, or any other models make a return, I'd try to get them to do sets with them too.
Set 2: I'm a Squirter
I think I ordered this shirt for Roxy right after our shoot last year, along with the one you'll see in the next set. Roxy always loved Charlee's Squirter set with the Squirt soda. She proudly said that would have worked for her too. That inspired me to find a way for her to do a squirting pun set as well.
I didn't want to repeat Charlee's Squirt soda theme, so I went online to see what I could find. When I saw this Pokémon pun shirt featuring Squirtle, I immediately bought it. Squirting and nerd themes combined? Hell yeah.
Set 3: Rearrange My Guts
Another shirt I ordered for Roxy, which you really can't read here, was one that reads, "Rearrange My Guts." The words are surrounded by some guts too in the shape of a heart. Why did I buy this shirt for her? Well, Roxy has joked a few times over the years that sometimes she and women in general just need their guts rearranged.
I guess you could say this is our little, "inside joke?" Get it? "Inside?" Okay, moving on.
Set 4: Shortcake Stockings
Knowing I wanted to try for six sets yesterday I went out to a Five Below store and walked the isles to see if any toys, shirts, etc. inspired a set idea. There I would find a few shirts and items to use in a few of her sets. The big squishy/stretchy banana from the previous set was one of those items. In this set, a big squishy strawberry and some Strawberry Shortcake items were a few others. The pink pair of stockings I've had for ages and fit right in.
Roxy and I love 80's and 90's nostalgia, so I knew this would be perfect set for her. I also grabbed another Strawberry Shortcake shirt that we didn't end up using. Funny enough, I had forgotten that I found yet another Strawberry Shortcake during a prior visit to Five Below too, giving me three in total. That one we did use in our final set of the day. More on that one in a bit.
Set 5: Boots & Feathers
Since I wasn't sure what we'd be doing for every set yesterday, I asked Roxy to bring along some footwear and clothing options. She did just that too. When she showed me these boots, I knew we had to use them. This wasn't the first time Roxy has brought some peculiar studded boots to a shoot either. A couple of years ago she had a clear and purple pair with studs in one of her outdoor sets. Now we have these.
For you tickling fans out there, this set also includes some self tickling with the pink and white feathers laying all over the bed. Since Roxy wasn't wearing socks, her feet did get a little moist inside those boots too. That made her soles just a little more sensitive, thus a little more ticklish than normal. I'm sure all you tickling fans will be happy about that.
Set 6: Shortcake Squish
Roxy had never shot a food squishing set until yesterday. Before meeting I hit up a grocery store and walked a few isles to figure out just what she could smash between her feet and toes. In 20 years I've shot so many food sets because, to be honest, most of my models love doing them and find it fun.
When I walked past the Strawberry Shortcake Rolls, I turned around and went back. I had just bought those Strawberry Shortcake shirts, so this seemed like a no brainer. These would also be messy, but not overly messy either. I was shooting this on a bed, so I didn't want to go too over the top with the food choice.
With these six sets Roxy now has an early lead for 2025's Star Model end of the year rankings. There's plenty of time for others to catch up, but that also means there plenty of time for Roxy to add to this count and increase her lead. It was nice getting to hang out with her again last night and even better seeing her barefoot. Our last few times hanging out were outdoors in the bitter cold. This was a welcome change!
