Soles of Silk - 2019's Star Models
I had big ideas for 2019 when it came to Soles of Silk. I feel like I was able to make most of those ideas become a reality over the course of the year, but there ended up being a cost. That cost was shooting new content.
Over the last few years, I made a few plans each and every month in the spring and summer to shoot new sets. What that meant for 2019, however, was that I was starting the year with just over two years worth of unpublished sets. That's a lot! Too much! As much as I love shooting new content, I needed to get these sets onto the site, and 2019 gave me the opportunity.
For starters, 15 sets were slated to go onto the site as part of my 15th anniversary remakes. Then, during October, I had Cereal Killers Month, where another 10 sets made their way onto the site. Add in some other timely holiday sets and such, and I already had a calendar taking shape well before 2019 even began. Still, I started off shooting new content in January just like it was business as usual. That first model also happens to be the first one to appear as one of 2019's Star Models.
3. Princess Nikki
Debuted: 2019
# of sets posed for in 2019: 4
Princess Nikki and I met online in early 2018. She agreed to take part in the March 2018 Wu's Feet Links interview (*explicit warning) and from there, our friendship blossomed. We always talked about wanting to eventually get together and shoot some content. I loved her and her adorable feet and she enjoyed my photography. Well, in January 2019, we finally got the chance to meet up, although a snow storm almost screwed that up for us.
My meeting with Nikki went wonderfully. We talked so much and it felt like we had known each other for a long time. We talked fetish, photography, art, television, work... you name it, we probably talked about it. Honestly, we probably missed out on shooting a couple more sets because of all the bullshitting we were doing. Oh well, I still came away with four great sets, three of which you've already seen. A size teasing one remains and I can't wait to publish that one in 2020.
One day Nikki and I are going to cross paths again for sure! I mean, look at those soft soles and adorable toes. Nikki loves the fetish and I owe her feet some love too as I didn't spend enough time at them with my camera, hands, nose, mouth, or whatever she deems worthy of those size 7.5's.
2. Jasey Rae
Debuted: 2013
# of sets posed for in 2019: 7
Up next, taking the second spot on this list, is Jasey Rae. I didn't meet up with Jasey until June 2019 when we made plans to shoot the remake of Nikki's 2010 Playground Bubbles set for the 15th anniversary celebration. It was her first shoot in just under a year and man, oh man, did she ever nail it! We shot two sets that day, but the Bubbles Remake... Damn... You've already saw how much I loved it in the recent blog, "15 Year Celebration - My Favorite Remakes of the 15th Anniversary Celebration." It placed as my second favorite remake of the 15 published. That's not the only love for that set you're going to see, however. A few more blogs will make their way onto this site saying more good things about that set.
In the days following that shoot, even though I knew I was sitting on too much content, I wanted more photos with Jasey. We made plans to shoot again about a month later, where we came away with three more awesome sets. One of those turned out to be the 2017 remake of Leah's Rainbow Thigh High Socks set and the final one was the last cereal themed set I needed for Cereal Killers Month, which had those plump toes front and center, softened by a bowl of milk below.
Although I had shot five awesome sets with my good friend by mid-July, I wasn't about to turn down a chance to get in a few more. In August we met up one last time for the year and shot two more sets. We both talked about doing some more, but I've just been so busy this year with work. If I had some more open time in 2019, Jasey just might have knocked off the reigning champ below.
1. Mindee
Debuted: 2004
# of sets posed for in 2019: 9
The champ is here! Who else would it be, but Mindee. Even coming in with less than 10 sets in 2019, she still tops the list. I honestly figured she would have had at least 12 sets with the way things began in 2019. You see, the plan was to shoot at least one new set each and every month this year. It was a little challenge we set up for ourselves and one we were making happen all the way up through June. The final six months of the year, however, were the exact opposite. That's right, It's been six months since I last had my main model, my muse, my great friend, Mindee shooting new photos. And yeah, it sucks!
This year turned out to be a hard one for both of us, much more so for Mindee. I don't want to go into personal details, but work and some family issues needed Mindee's undivided attention. I didn't press her for new shoots because I knew that she needed to focus on other things.
Even with all that said, Mindee still has a ton of sets that remain unpublished up through this point. She shot 10 last year and 40 the year before. You'll be seeing a lot of her in 2020 even though we didn't shoot like we had been these last few years. I'll be sure to tell her that we need to make up for it. Knowing her, she's already thought the same thing in her head.
Star Model Leader Count (as of 2019)
This portion of the Star Models blog began being documented in 2017. I wanted to see which models made the most appearances as Star Models throughout the years and who actually shot the most, well, the most? Wanting to know this information, I decided to share the results at the conclusion of these blogs as they progress. I will include this on each and every installment moving forward.
