Last night after work I ran out to a few stores to grab a few things needed for today's shoot. Those things were: a planter, shovel, and ingredients to make dirt cake. Yes, I was finally going to do the theme that has eluded me for all these years in a food play set. It's something I've talked about doing for ages and Kelsey was coming over the next day to do it. When I woke up this morning I decided to go ahead and begin preparing the dirt cake. The directions claimed it could be made and served immediately. I, however, didn't want to chance things not coming out right so I began making it a few hours before Kelsey was set to arrive. Luckily for me too as I ended up having to back out to the grocery store to buy some more ingredients. I didn't have enough to fill the large planter. It sure did take a while, but Kaycee and I finally arranged some shoot time. Had you told me earlier this year that the first time Kaycee would model for a set would come in September, I wouldn't have believed you. She was one of my most photographed models in 2015, but this year we just didn't get to schedule anything until now. Earlier in the year it was the rain. During mid-summer it was just too damn hot. So here we are, finally getting in some photos. I met up with Kaycee today around noon. We made our way to a waterfront park I have used for shoots before, but haven't been to in years. I thought it would be nice to see if anything had changed. Even if not, I knew I could potentially get a couple of sets done at the park. Having a little fun with Alice today while she used a selfie stick during her set. Look up there! Look at Alice having a blast spreading her toes as wide as they an go! Look at me staring on in amazement on just how far she's got them apart from the other. That happened in between photos during Alice's first set today that she did with the selfie stick (see blog: " Sunday's Shoot - Alice "). You see, I thought it might be fun to have her take some photos of herself as I was shooting photos of her. She loved the idea and did just that. Of course, I couldn't help but walk behind her for a few as well. This blog marks the first time I've ever done a sister blog to any of my shoot entries. This, however, warrants it. Sure, I could have inserted all these photos into the main entry, but these deserve their own little space.
