In the weeks leading up to my vacation, I had nothing planned at all. Other plans had fallen through and then Jamie mentioned going to the beach. I'm not the biggest fan of the beach as I'm more of the tourist type, liking to see things, but I said, "Why not?"  We planned a trip to Virginia Beach. I had never been there, but saw that it looked to be very scenic. We planned on doing about 10 photo sets during our visit, which didn't quite happen, but we still managed to shoot seven.  Thursday, 7 p.m. We left to go down to the beach. Knowing Hurricane Arthur was approaching, we figured we would have to change our original plans during the long drive. The forecast called for high percentages of storms/rain from 6-11 a.m. on Friday. Instead of going on to Virginia Beach early on Friday and doing some locations in Norfolk on Saturday before leaving, we swapped the day around. In the 10 years I've been running Soles of Silk I have shot mostly personal friends. Many of these friends were eager to pose, but not all of them. Some found reasons to why they didn't want to - just like Mindee when I began the site back in 2004. You all know her story and how she now currently has over 2,300 photos on the site. Well, t oday's model was like Mindee in that she claimed she hates having her photos taken and has so-so feeling about her feet. Her name is Bobbie .  Bobbie wasn't 18 in 2004 when I began this site, nor did I even know her that long ago. She turned 18 back in 2010 and I've asked her about posing off and on since that then. Hey everyone, just wanted to tell everyone that I'm back home now and should be a little more accessible. I was on the road for a week hitting up numerous amusement parks as well as a few baseball games in different cities. All in all, the trip was amazing, but it was very hard to do the amount of promotion I had wanted to do for Aspen's All American Feet feature set on Wu's Feetlinks from my iPhone and iPad. I set things up as best as I could, so I hope everyone has been enjoying that set. If you haven't checked it out, you're missing what many people are saying is the site's best set ever. That's some praise since I've loved so many sets I've done over the years. I'll let you all be the judge of that.
