3K Club - Kelsey's Footography


On August 3, 2022 Kelsey became the site's sixth model to join the 2K Club (2,000 photos). That rare feat had only been accomplished by Cierra (2011), Mindee (2014), Charlee (2019), Alice (2019), and Kaycee (2022) prior to her taking her place among the site's 2K Club members. Since then Abby also joined in February of this year. With a grand total of seven models reaching the 2,000 photo milestone, it is clearly a rare feat.

Want to know what's even rarer? The 3K Club. 

Until the October 4, 2023 update only two models had managed to reach 3,000 photos. Those models are Mindee (2015) and Charlee (2022). Well, that number is now three. I'd like to welcome Kelsey to the site's 3K Club. Here is how her photo count currently stacks up against those who have reached and/or surpassed 3,000:

  1. Mindee - 9,604
  2. Charlee - 3,405
  3. Kelsey - 3.012

In just over one year's time Kelsey has amassed another 1,000 photos while topping the "2022's Star Models" listing in the process. It took her 13 sets to move from 2,000 to 3,000 and she is showing no signs of stopping. Before we talk about what her future holds, let's take a quick look back at the 13 sets that saw her earn a spot in the coveted 3K Club:

In my opinion, these sets mark some of Kelsey's best work. That was probably evident to everyone when two of her sets were featured in "My Favorite Sets of 2022." One of those was the set she broke into the 2K Club with, her Flowerbed Flats set, I featured as an honorable mention. Her Yellow Sneakers set took third. 

Between the sets that came in 2022 and here in 2023, you've also seen plenty of them used in the site's layout in predominate spots. Header bars, the splash page, and banners have all featured Kelsey's feet during her journey from 2K to 3K. She's also been featured heavily on Twitter (@SolesofSilk) with several different headers featuring her thick soles and plump toes.

Kelsey and I had so much fun coming up with all the different themes and finding neat locations to shoot all those sets you see above. Quite a few of them have been rather public too. A small group of people watched Kelsey from about 20 yards away smash the donuts under her soft soles. I made sure to give them a little bit extra of a show by eating a few pieces that were clumped up between her toes. 

"Smashing those donuts tops everything," Kelsey said in her 2022 Star Model Interview. "There were people watching us like, 'Huh?'"

Something else Kelsey and I had a bit of fun with this year was shooting sets supporting our hometown teams - the Orioles and Ravens. Back in March Kelsey had her toes painted orange and kicked off a pair of orange sneakers while playing with some baseballs and a glove. Fast forward to September and her toes were painted purple and she was out on the field doing some football related training with some purple sneakers, footballs, and a helmet.

Want to know something else that was fun about those days? Following Kelsey's Orioles set she shot a set with Orange Jelly Slices. Following the Ravens set, she did one with Grape Jelly Slices. Since the Orioles finished in first place in the American League East, I wanted to replicate everything we did for the Ravens. Of course, Kelsey had to be the one to do both. Should the success continue through the playoffs for the Orioles and then later for the Ravens, I might just have her do them again next year and every year moving forward.

Oh yeah, someone also yelled out their car window in Kelsey's direction, "What's your Feet Finder?" while shooting that Orange Jelly Slices set. We were far away from the world when shooting the Grape Jelly Slices, though.

In addition to those fun themes, Kelsey and I shot in some scenic spots too. My favorite was on the One Lane Bridge. We had to get up and move several times to let a car pass over the bridge, but it was totally worth it. We also made our way down some trails to a waterfall that day. Sadly that was when my camera began to show signs of needing to be replaced. We had some difficulties shooting that one, but still made the best of it.

When it comes to her most recent sets, only a couple have made it onto site as of yet. She had plenty of sets to pick from when I left it up to her to decide which one to break the 3,000 mark. I figured she'd go with her banana smashing one since she loves smashing food and getting her feet sticky. Or maybe the one we did along a trail under a metal archway. That was a neat setting. But nope. She ultimately picked one of her most casual sets - the one we did with Red Knee High Socks on a park bench.

This was one we shot quickly on the way back home to her house. We had just enough time to fit it in and the charge percentage on my camera battery was dipping into single digits. Still, we pulled off one amazing set. As a matter of fact, the photo you see at the top of this Footography has been the wallpaper on my PC since I backed it up onto my computer. I love it so much. Sometimes the simple sets are the best!

Kelsey still has plenty of sets just waiting to make it onto the site as I write this. We also have plans to shoot again soon and aim to get in at least another four of five sets. Her photo count will continue to rise. She already has enough unpublished photos to take over the number two spot from Charlee for Soles of Silk's most-photographed model. She still has a way to go to challenge Mindee for the number one spot, but I'm excited to see Kelsey's journey as she surely joins her in the 4K Club and beyond. I hope you're up for the task, Kelsey. I love shooting with you and always have tons of fun. Your feet have always been adorable to me and I cannot wait to see them each and every time.
