I know I say this every single year when publishing this annual list, but damn... This was damn hard to compile! I had so many great sets to pick from that I was mad when I had to leave other ones that I love out of the Top 10 and Honorable Mentions. Seriously, there are sets that I absolutely adore from 2025 that are nowhere to be found on this list. Naturally I could have changed this year's list to a Top 25 just so I could include more sets, but after doing these lists for 20-plus years as a Top 10 listing, it's just better to keep with tradition. A few years ago I came up with a method of ranking the sets I publish for these annual lists to help me keep my sanity. Throughout the year I keep an ongoing tally, adding each set to the list as they make their way online. This helps me from having to go and look through everything all at once at the end of the year. In simpler terms, I rank them as I go. Even with this method it doesn't mean that I don't find myself second guessing my choices and moving stuff around. I find myself doing that every few weeks or even here last minute before I post the results. It comes with the territory and is like trying to pick your favorite kid. Not to brag, but I've shot a lot of kick ass content this year. I look at so many sets that didn't make the list and think how awesome they are and ask myself how I can live with myself not featuring them in the Top 10. You have no idea how hard it was for me to pick my favorite sets for 2022. As I published each set, I rank them as I go. I've found trying to wait until the end of the year to rank 50-plus sets is just too daunting. Over the last few years, this method of ranking has helped me a lot. In 2022, however, I felt like I'd constantly rethinking different sets and their placement on a regular basis. I'd move a set up or down and sometimes even move them back a week or two later. I feel like so many sets were right on par with one another and I loved them all. With all that being said, it's time to give a definitive answer as to which sets make up my Top 10.
