Today is the final day of my nine day vacation. It's back to work tomorrow and I feel like these nine days have a hot mess of changed plans and things not quite working out. Why would today's shoot with Leah be any different? Right off the bat, I want to say that none of what went wrong today was Leah's fault. We just caught some bad breaks and I was legitimately getting angry. Leah kept assuring me all was okay, but it truly made me feel bad. When I drove to her apartment to start the day off, my GPS had no clue which court was hers. I drove past her place and around the bend. I had to double back around and look for Leah, who told me she'd come out and flag me down. I wish that was the worst of the roadblocks we ran into today. I brought a pink nail polish with me that I recently picked up. Leah wanted to use it, so after I picked her up, she went about painting her toes while we talked about some ideas for sets. Can you believe that it's July 6 and today was the first day that I shot solo sets with Mindee in 2018? Had she not teamed up with Reese back in February, these would have been the first photos she did all year (see blog: " Monday's Shoot - Mindee & Reese "). Crazy, huh? Especially when you consider that she shot 40 sets in 2017. Well, if she's looking to reach that mark again, she's got 36 more sets to go and 178 days left to do it. That's one set every 4.9 days. For those of you who follow along with this blog, and the site's Instagram ( @SolesofSilk ) or Twitter ( @SolesofSilk ), you know that I shot a friend of mine named Ava  last week (see blog: " Monday's Shoot - Ava "). At the conclusion of that blog I stated that the next time Ava and I shot, we might be including a mutual friend of ours. Well, today we shot again and that friend came and shot as well. About a week ago Felicia asked if she could do some photos on Monday, September 25. I had thrown some open dates out to a few of my models and she was the first person to say she was free. We booked the date for some new photos. How many sets and what would we do? Well, that was to be determined and was still something we were unsure of when we started shooting on Monday. We got our day started around noon. We drove out of town to do shoot in a historic town in Western Maryland. Felicia had never been to the area, but I had been there several times. I knew we'd have plenty of places to chose from. What ended up happening today, however, was us just shooting one set and enjoying the rest of the day running to some stores, an arcade, and an art museum. For several weeks now Charlee and I had been talking about getting together for a shoot. We settled on today and were both very much looking forward to taking some new photos - and for all the foot rubs that would accompany them. Well, the day did not disappoint. We managed to get in four awesome sets and it was great getting her in front of the camera again. The day began a little closer to home. I was looking to emulate Alice's October 2016 Gummi Dicks set. Why? Well, that is something I am still not ready to announce just yet. But this set, as well as a few others that have been shot this year are all part of an upcoming plan of mine.
