Sunday's Shoot - Olivia

Earlier this year I did an email exchange with Wu of Wu's Feetlinks. Over the years he asked me to do feature sets for his Feature Model section on almost an annual basis. This year's model was scheduled to be Olivia and she was so happy to be representing Soles of Silk this time around. And then the updates stopped at Wu's Feetlinks.

At first, no one knew why. Did Wu retire? Did he lose his passion? Was he sick? Well, it took months, but we finally found out that Wu had passed away. The entire community was saddened and we wondered what would become of Wu's Feetlinks without the main man in charge.

Thankfully BHE is tending to the site with the assistance of community members. I've been republishing the old interviews on the new Wu's Feetlinks Interviews Blog before I begin conducting new ones. Mommie Dearest is set to reprise her columns section, but one of my favorite sections sits in limbo - the Feature Model section.

During the time prior to learning of Wu's passing I told Olivia I wasn't sure what was going on and if Wu was still going to have her set published in June. As more time passed, we put her set on hold. Once the news broke about Wu's passing, however, I've been wanting to shoot her set more than ever. I've contacted BHE about having her set mark the return of the section once they get it going. I honestly haven't heard much other than they're working on streamlining some things, but I can say as of today, the set is shot and I'm just waiting to hear from them. And in the case that BHE isn't going to reprise the section, I'll post it on Soles of Silk for free as a dedication to Wu. He did so much for Soles of Silk and all countless other sites out there. I'd like to try and help things carry on.

The Feature Set

Over the years I've always tried to make my Wu's Feetlinks feature sets some of the best work I do. I wanted Olivia's to be no different. But what could we do in the set? Well, how about Cuban heel stockings? I've never shot a model wearing Cubans and I've had countless requests for them over the years. But where would I shoot them?

In recent weeks I really began looking around for a spot to shoot. During my search I came up with the idea to shoot something in the Washington, D.C. Metro area since that's where Wu called home. Call it one of my small touches and an ode to a friend.

We arrived at an area called National Harbor around 8 a.m. Olivia slipped on her dress in the parking garage. She left the thigh highs and heels off for the time being since we had a little bit of a walk ahead of us.

When we got down to our location, a water fountain in front of a hotel, we found it was not turned on. I'm honestly glad, however. We changed our plans and shot at the small pond and waterfall just up the hill from the fountain.

The area was gorgeous and because we left so early in the morning, there was hardly anyone out and about - which was our plan all along. I didn't want Olivia feeling like the center of attention with thigh high stockings, a skirt, and heels in such a public place.

We began the set next to a small bridge at the bottom of the pond. After a few standing shots, however, I had Olivia move to a wall next to the waterfall (see photo above). It gave me some great angles for dangling shots before she ultimately pulled off her heels.

With her heels off I focused in on those Cuban stocking clad feet. Like I said above, I have never shot this style of stocking until now. I have to say, I don't know why I waited so long. Olivia looked great! But I'm glad I got to have her do it first. She pulled it off nicely.

After posing for some shots while in the stockings, it was time for them to come off. I photographed Olivia pulling them down her legs and feet until were totally bare. For the remained of the 100 photo set, she posed those heavenly size 7.5s barefoot.

I can't wait to post this entire set, whether it's on Wu's Feetlinks or on Soles of Silk. I will keep you all posted once I know more information. Until then, I hope the teaser image whets your appetite.

Delmarva Mural Set

After returning to my car for an outfit change we went out to shoot our second set. Sadly, the location we had picked wasn't going to work out. The metal surface was scolding hot, so we're going to try again later in the year. Once the temperature cools down, it'll make posing there much. I don't want to spoil the spot, but it's going to be quite unique.

The location we used instead was a mural painted on the ground in the middle of the area's main shopping district. The mural depicted the Delmarva region, which for those who don't know, is short for Delaware/Maryland/Virginia.

Since it was still early, the stores and restaurants were still closed. We had about an hour before they'd open, so we decided to go ahead and begin. We moved all over the mural and the surrounding benches for this one. The set itself is more on the casual side, but with the girl next door appeal of Soles of Silk, often times, these are the sets that many of you love the most.

After the Shoots

Olivia and I were originally planning on shooting three sets on the day, but during a lunch break we decided that we'd save it for our return trip a few months from now. We're already going to go back down to shoot the one location we missed out on, so why not have another set to do that day as well?

I'm glad I finally got Olivia in front of the camera to shoot these sets. I can't wait to shoot her again. She's a great friend and I can't think of a better person to represent the site in a feature set in 2014.

Soles of Silk 10 Year Anniversary - 2007

Bethany (left) got her cousin Natalie to pose in 2007.

2007: Quick Glance

Debuting Models: (11) Ann, Autumn, Chrystine, Danielle, Delicious, Krystie, Lizzie, Natalie, Paige Noelle, Taylor, and Tiff

Wu's Feetlinks Feature Gallery: Kellie & Kimmie - Football Fun

The twins Wu's Feature Gallery was the first to feature two girls, let alone sisters, or twins.

2007: The Year in Review

So far 2005 has seen the most models make their debut at 18. But 2007 didn't do too bad having 11 make their way onto the site. In April, five models would actually debut consecutively: Natalie, Krystie, Danielle, Delicious, and Ann. In the April 11, 2007 column titled, "Celebrating 40 Models, I had this to say:

"Every single model has been a pleasure to shoot. Whether it be someone like Madison, who I've photographed so many times that I'm still sitting on photos I did of her last year, or someone like Ann who has been on the site all of a few hours, every shoot is one I treasure."

The same feeling holds true with all the models I shoot today, but this blog is focused on 2007 and those who posed over that 365 day span. So as with the three past blogs in this series, let's take a look back at the year that was 2007.

Aside from the five models mentioned above who debuted in consecutive weeks, six other models also showed off their feet for the first time. Autumn (February), Taylor (July), Lizzie (August), Chrystine (September), Tiff (November) and Paige Noelle (December) all debuted with great fanfare. Looking at this list now, however, it's strange that none of them have had an update in the last four years - that being Danielle in 2010. Even worse, that set was actually shot in 2009. I've tried to get a few of these girls to come back, and some have agreed, but nothing has ever worked out.

Switching over to the site's established models, Layla, Madison, Molly, and Wendy all were big in 2007. Their photo counts all saw a massive rise as each of them posed for some memorable sets. All of them also saw their fan base grow and grow as they became models people associated with the site itself.

In late January the site had its second feature model gallery published on Wu's Feetlinks. Carmen's 2005 set was a major hit and there was only one way I could think of to outdo that one - with twins. Kellie and Kimmie posed in a football themed set, at the request of Wu himself. He always did an annual football feature to coincide with the Super Bowl. Wu had never featured a two girl set, however, let alone one with sisters. Having them twins was like a third layer of icing on the already sweet cake. Needless to say, like every set Kellie and Kimmie have appeared in, it was an instant hit.

Speaking of Carmen, in October I lucked out big in getting her to pose again for the first time in almost two years. Carmen was easily one of the site's most popular models. She was an instant hit from the moment she debuted in 2005, but after a few quick shoots, she disappeared. Sadly, she disappeared yet again after this return. I just hope that one day I'll get the chance to shoot with this fun loving friend of mine yet again.

On the non-model side of things, January 2007 marked the site's first attempt at social media when I set up the site's official MySpace page (since disabled). MySpace was all the rage for some time and I did get good response from it. Eventually, however, some Internet trolls had to ruin it by sending some of the models harassing emails and comments. I closed the page in 2009.

In June I ran the site's first ever, Soles of Silk Wallpaper Design Contest. Members and non-members entered in a chance to win membership prizes by designing computer wallpapers featuring: Chloe, Layla, or Precious. A total of 24 entries were submitted. Since then I've ran the contest a number of times with varying degrees of success.

Overall 2007 accomplished a bunch of great things. It was the last time more than 10 new models have debuted, it kicked off an ongoing contest, and helped me realize how social media can help with running a site. My only complaint about 2007 is what I mentioned above: none of these models are currently posing. I should try hard to change that! All that being said, be sure to check back soon to see the next installment of this blog series, which will focus on 2008.

Delicious was added to the model roster in 2007.

2007: Tidbits & Facts

- Both Taylor and Tiff were introduced to me by Abby. All sets shot featuring both girls were shot in Abby's old apartment.

- Both Andrea and Krystie informed me in August of 2007 that they wouldn't be modeling any longer. I was saddened by the news, but understood. Both girls posed for me back on my old site, The 10 Little Piggies, and I was super excited to have them back.

- Mindee posed for the annual Ravens themed set for the site, showing off her collection of football cards.

- The set of Andrea posted on January 24, 2007 was done in the same exact location I shot her first ever set on The 10 Little Piggies.

- Watching Bethany and Natalie exchange shoes in their shoe swap set was nothing short of amazing! Wish both girls posed for a lot more photos than they have.

- Cierra only appeared in one set in 2007.

- In Molly's August 22, 2007 set, she's totally nude under that blanket. Funny thing is, it's the second time she was nude in a set. In her June 28, 2006 set in the bath tub, the only thing blocking her lady parts was the soap suds.

- Taylor's only solo set is the only one on the site that caters to the smoking fetish as well. I'm not a fan of smoking, but I made an exception.

- In the first ever Soles of Silk Wallpaper Design contest 15 entries were submitted featuring Layla, five of Chloe, and four of Precious.

- I used to date Paige Noelle and she'd rarely ever let me touch her feet. No big surprise that we didn't last, but she did let me photograph them in December of 2007. Still after her for more.

Monday's Shoot - Bobbie (New Model)

In the 10 years I've been running Soles of Silk I have shot mostly personal friends. Many of these friends were eager to pose, but not all of them. Some found reasons to why they didn't want to - just like Mindee when I began the site back in 2004. You all know her story and how she now currently has over 2,300 photos on the site. Well, today's model was like Mindee in that she claimed she hates having her photos taken and has so-so feeling about her feet. Her name is Bobbie

Bobbie wasn't 18 in 2004 when I began this site, nor did I even know her that long ago. She turned 18 back in 2010 and I've asked her about posing off and on since that then. I never thought I'd get a chance to have her modeling her feet, but my luck changed.

About a month ago a group of us friends met at Chili's for dinner. Olivia was sitting between Bobbie and I while I was showing Olivia some of the Instagram (@SolesofSilk) comments on her photo posts.

"Olivia, you pose for Patrick's site?" Bobbie asked.

"Yeah, I do," Olivia replied.

"I wish you did," I added, addressing Bobbie.

"I've been thinking about it. I really have," Bobbie answered.

"I'd love to have you and you can even pose with Olivia, if you both want to," I told her.

From that conversation onward, Bobbie has shown an interest in shooting. We set a date not to long after that evening at Chili's. In the weeks that followed, I kept mention things to Bobbie, even going as far as talking about shooting again afterward.

"If you enjoy shooting, we certainly will have to do more," I said to Bobbie a couple of weeks ago while at work.

"Let's see if we're still friends after our first shoot," she replied. "I'm probably going to hate all of them."

Well, she did enjoy shooting today and actually liked some of the pictures. I don't want to get to ahead of myself here, though, so let's take a look at her first two sets.

I let Bobbie pick today's shoot time. She had some plans later in the day and I just had some freelance work to tend to. She picked 9 a.m. and although I'm not a morning person, I didn't mind at all. I've been looking forward to this shoot for weeks and probably would have shot at 6 a.m. had she wanted to.

In Bobbie's first set I wanted to keep things simple. Whenever I shoot a new model, unless she's been posing for other sites, or does modeling in general, I try to keep her first set relatively easy. For this first one I decided to shoot out on a boat ramp.

Bobbie wore an orange dress with a denim jacket for the set. I loved the orange/blue combination and even told her I've always been a fan of those two complimentary colors together. Of course a bee also liked the bright orange color of her attire, but he didn't bother us too much.

Bobbie also wore a pair of sandals in the set - the ones she was wearing when she arrived. I told her to keep them on for now and I'd just have her pull them off in the photos. She said okay and then began posing for her very first shots.

The boat landing itself wasn't too large and with the sun in the position it was, it didn't leave us a large amount of space to shoot. Still, we made the best of it and I got some great photos of Bobbie showing off those curvy size 8.5 feet. I didn't know she had nice arches, so that was quite nice. I made sure to compliment her on them. I'm sure you guys will all love them too.

As we were wrapping up our set I was explaining to her what to do for her first video clip. It was a good thing we didn't start filming, however, because as soon as I was done my explanation, two guys came down on the opposite side of the boat ramp. I didn't want to make Bobbie feel uncomfortable, so we decided to just go film it on a picnic bench in the park instead.

After the clip was done we went back to our cars. Bobbie changed into the outfit she'll be seen wearing in her debut set on July 2. That's right, she's going to be debuting during the week of the Fourth of July. Knowing this ahead of time, we decided do a patriotic set with her dressed in the Red, White, and Blue - complete with American flags and sparklers.

Once Bobbie was dressed she tied a red bandanna into her hair and I loved it! I think there may only be one set on Soles of Silk that features a model with a bandanna in her hair, which is Carmen's Bridge Construction set (Sample 01 / Sample 02). So that was a nice touch.

For this set we made our way over to some bleachers. I wanted the ability to get right into Bobbie's feet as she played with the flags and the sparklers. Bleachers would give me plenty of choices for angles.

Once again Bobbie began the set in shoes - this time her gray Vans. I thought about just having her go barefoot in this one, but I'm a sucker for girls in sneakers without socks and the chance presented itself. So yeah, I took it.

Bobbie's Vans didn't stay on long, however. Little American flags found their way between her cute little toes instead. And after waving those around for a few shots, she lit up the sparklers as well. Well, when the lighter decided to work, that is. We had the hardest time getting the flame to spark. It was either that or the sparklers were cheap and they didn't want to light.

After I did enough photos for the set we cleaned up our mess and headed back to our cars. Bobbie wanted to look through the photos, so I told her she could, but only over a foot rub. She laughed at me and said okay. I had been telling her for weeks she wasn't leaving without one.

I totally expected Bobbie to tell me how she hated every photo as she looked through my camera. Much to my surprise, however, she made mention of liking a number of the photos. She also said she didn't like some others, but at least she didn't hate all of it. She shouldn't have either as she did a great job and I'm very much looking forward to shooting her again - hopefully soon. You might just see her pose with some of the other models too. She's friends with a number of the other models, so there are a few different possibilities.

Thank you for posing, Bobbie. I'm glad you had a good time and want to pose those cute feet of yours again. I'll be waiting! And once again, a foot rub will be a must!

Sunday's Shoot - Ashlyn

It's been a few weeks, but I finally got to pull out my camera again for a female willing to pull her feet out of her shoes Or is it boots? Or maybe knee high socks? Perhaps some well-worn Vans? Well, in today's case, it was all three.

All year long I have been trying to book a shoot with Ashlyn. She posed for her first and only time (until today) back in mid-August of 2013 (see blog: "Sunday's Shoot - Ashlyn"). Back then she had red hair and now she has black. But one thing sure hasn't changed - she's a total sweetheart!

Since neither of us are morning people we decided to meet up in the afternoon for her first shots of 2014. One of the location I wanted to use was about an hour drive. It's called Yards Park right by the National's stadium in Washington, D.C. Ever since her debut last year, Ashlyn has had an idea she's been wanting to do for a shoot. This location was perfect for it. More on that later.

With a Nationals game scheduled at 1:30 p.m., we decided to avoid Yards Park like the plague until the evening. I wanted to give everyone a chance to leave so that it wouldn't be as crowded, traffic wouldn't be ridiculous, and parking wouldn't cost me an outrageous amount. With that in mind, I found a few other potential locations for shoots to do beforehand so the game crowds would disperse.

Our first location ended up being across, and just down the river from Yards Park - Anacostia Park. I had found the spot during a Google Earth search a few days before. I saw a boat ramp with a unique background. When I shared it with Ashlyn, she liked it too. Since she was already wearing the clothes (and boots) for this set, we made it our first set.

We made our way into the park and found a parking spot right by the boat ramp. As we were getting ready a truck pulled up to lower a boat into the water. We decided to wait so they didn't ruin our background and so they weren't right on top of us while we tried to shoot. The wait pushed us back a good 45 minutes. On a positive note, however, it was 45 more minutes for the game to finish up.

After the boat was lowered, boarded, and on its way down river, Ashlyn and I made our way out onto the pier to claim our shoot location. We moved to the end so we could get the closest to view we both loved on Google Earth. That view was a swinging train bridge. I hoped that a train would eventually come by, which did indeed happen about a quarter of the way into the set.

Ashlyn started off the set in the boots. She had been wearing since I picked her up and is definitely a boot kind of girl. Of course I had to crack a joke about how strongly her feet and boots smelled the first time she shot. She laughed and gave this pair a sniff.

"They don't smell as bad, do they?" Ashlyn asked, handing me a boot.

"They do smell, but nowhere near as bad as those other ones," I replied. "I could smell those ones hovering over your feet taking the pictures last time."

Eventually Ashlyn's feet would be bare and those blue toenails came out into their glory. I loved the color choice, especially since Ashlyn admitted that she likes to stick to reds when it comes to manicures and pedicures. I didn't give her any input at all on the color and kind of expected her to have red. Maybe she remembered me saying how much I like blues and teals the last time? Who knows?

As we began wrapping up the set a couple came down to sit on the pier. I had Ashlyn lay down into the "pose" for the last few shots. By time I finished up with those, a few more people made their way down to do some fishing. Good timing, I guess. Ashlyn and I made our way back to the car to figure out where we would shoot next.

By this time I felt pretty good that we wouldn't have too much of a crowd at Yards Park. Still, I decided to give it another half an hour and just stop at a McDonald's for Ashlyn to change and for us to get a quick drink and some yummy Chicken McNuggets. It was also when I decided to rip the button off my shorts. I'm so glad I had a safety pin on my backpack because I didn't have a belt. We would have had to go shopping for some shorts if not. They weren't trying to stay up. And I sure don't think I would have fit into anything little Ms. Ashlyn had brought with her!

Once I secured my shorts we made our way to Yards Park. Thankfully the parking lots were that charging a $25-40 event rate were no longer doing so. Our lot was only $2 per hour and was right by where we planned to shoot.

This set was the one Ashlyn has been wanting to do for just under a year now. She came up with the idea on her own, which is something I love when the girls do. The theme was a long board set.

Not too long ago I found some neat looking knee high socks that I thought would be perfect for this set. Ashlyn loves knee high socks, and the design is nothing like I had ever seen. They are multi-colored, with one color fading into the other. When I showed Ashlyn a photo of them, she immediately claimed the green and blue pair. They were waiting for her legs and feet this entire time!

We really lucked out with this location. There was hardly anyone around, well, at least along the boardwalk. Mostly everyone was back at the wading fountain cooling off. I was so scared there would still be a lot of people lingering around, but it wasn't the case. We made our way to a spot I thought would add a few more splashes of color to a set  - a set that was already going to be full of color.

Not much to say about how this set progressed. Ashlyn was wearing her well-worn Vans and knee high socks to start. In the 100-plus photos that followed, she slowly peeled them from her warm feet. If you like sneakers, socks, or bare feet, this set has them all - and it pretty much has them in every combination too. I made sure to get poses with one shoe on, and one off and then with one sock on, and one off too. There's just something cute about those poses to me. I know a few of you have mentioned liking that as well.

Once we wrapped up with photos we shot a video clip and pondered what to do next. My original plan was to do three sets, but we fell behind a little with some traffic, at the boat launch, and finally by doing over 100 photos for the long board set. After discussing it we decided to call it a day and try to book again soon.

"That'll let you get a new color on your toes and for us to find some other cool locations," I said.

Ashlyn agreed and we made our way home.

In addition to the sets Ashlyn and I plan on doing, I've also been talking to Olivia about getting the both of them together. Both girls are looking forward to that, but probably not as much as I am. Those two together should be great. So be on the lookout for more of both girls - solo and hopefully, together!

Soles of Silk's News & Notes - June 2014

Hey everyone. It's been a little longer than usual since I last posted a blog. I want to let everyone know that all is well and I wanted bring you up to speed on what has been going on lately. All of the Soles of Silk updates have been right on time, it's just this blog that has been a little slow going during the last couple of weeks.

Abby's Interview from 2006 has been added.

What I've Been Busy Doing

One of the biggest reasons you haven't seen me on here blogging as much is that I've been busy trying to establish the all new Wu's Feetlinks Interviews Blog. Years ago I was tasked by Wu, of Wu's Feetlinks, to take over doing his interviews. The plan was to do it with models, photographers and foot fetish personalities from around the web. Things never really got started, but with his untimely death, it is really something I want to make sure happens.

At this time, I've gotten 20 of the 25 existing interviews slightly edited and republished to the new blog. These interviews were conducted from 2001-07. I wanted them to be a part of the new Interviews Blog so they'd be preserved. I hope to get the final few interviews posted in the next few days.

In addition to taking over the interviews on Wu's Feetlinks, I am also laying out and creating the template to be used for the former columns section of the site. It will also be done in a blog style site format. Mommie Dearest will be reprising her role as the columnist as well. More on that in the near future!

During the last few weeks I've also been taking on some paid freelance graphic design work. The extra money is going to come in handy as I just booked a small little multi-day vacation with Jamie for next month. We're going to try and do 8-10 shoots while we're out enjoying ourselves. Even though I already have five sets of her and those adorable feet, I sure won't mind adding another 8-10. Sure you won't mind seeing what we come up with either.

What I Haven't Been Busy Doing

Some of you may have noticed a lack of new photo shoot blogs lately as well. Well, it's not because I haven't tried. This year has been full of cancelled shoots, postponed shoots, bad weather, and new models who backed out at the last minute.

All that being said, I have two shoots planned for this weekend. The first one is slated to be with Ashlyn and the second, an all new model who has been a friend of mine for several years. I've also talked to a number of existing models such as Kayleigh, Olivia, Mindee, and Ryan about shooting again soon. Another newbie or two might also be a possibility, but my luck with that this year has been less than stellar, as I already mentioned.

Getting Back on Track... Soon

In the next few days you should see this blog updated regularly once again. I hope you all enjoy the new Wu's Feetlinks Interviews Blog and let me know what you think of the upcoming shoots you'll see blogged about here soon.

Sunday's Shoot - Mandy

Sometimes you can overly plan, think you have everything laid out perfectly, and then it just doesn't work out. Luckily that doesn't always mean everything comes crashing down on the day, however. Today was one of those days.

For months I've been chatting with Mandy about getting back together for some more photos. She had only posed for the single set in 2013, when she debuted. It was very hot that day and we got delayed by a mother and child who wanted to hang out right where we were taking photos. Well, the same thing happened a few times on Sunday too, but more on that later.

Where things went wrong today began when I picked up Mandy from her house. I forgot to grab a bag full of knee high socks that we intended to use in one of her sets. I actually thought I might have left them in Charlee's car last week when she did two sets (see blog: "Sunday's Shoot - Charlee"). I called her and she said I didn't, so it was back home for me. Before I made my way back, however, I dropped Mandy off to get her pedicure. I picked out a metallic blue for her toes and then went back for the socks.

Mandy's pedicure took a bit more time than I had planned for, but the lady eventually finished up so we could get out on the road. But first things first, this guy wanted to eat. So eat we did.

Once we finished, we did our hour drive to the locations I had picked out. This is when we hit another snag. My plan was to use some blue tennis courts I had seen during a past shoot in the park. Of course, people were all over them with it being such a nice day. We decided to try again later and move on to another one of our shoot ideas - Cuban heel stockings.

Snag number three saw the stockings not working out with Mandy's outfits. It would just be a barefoot kind of day. Both of my planned ideas would have to be put on hold, but that's fine. That's why I asked Mandy to bring some other outfits just in case things didn't go as planned. It just happens sometimes. And then I decided to make a splash... literally.

When we went back to my car I forgot about the 32 oz. Mountain Dew I left on my seat. It was too big for my cup holders and yeah... I knocked it over and spilled about half the cup all over the driver's seat. I'm glad I brought a towel too. I usually never spill anything. Talk about a Bizarro day!

After finding a place to park and settling on a small park out in front of the town's city hall, we began shooting. There was a water fountain in the middle of a circle of benches and we were all alone. Well, we were all alone for about a dozen photos. That's when a mother and child arrived. Yes, it happened again. They didn't bother us though and were gone fairly quickly. But as they were leaving, four older people came by with some printed materials. It looked like they were on a scavenger hunt of some kind and were reading a small plaque in the sidewalk. And read it they did! They stayed right behind the spot I was shooting Mandy for about half an hour. This must have been some interesting plaque!

Eventually they left and I told Mandy to stick her feet out and just pose them in any manner which came to mind. I fired off photo after photo to make up for the lost time. No one else came by for more than a few seconds, so we got in our set and went back to the car.

Since I parked back by the tennis courts we saw that there was even more people there at this point. So the awesome idea we had for that location would just have to wait. It's the one the knee high socks were going to be used in. Oh well, Mandy grabbed another pair of clothes instead and told me to figure out another spot. Mandy then did what many girls do so well and changed right in my car.

Our second, and last set on the day would be shot in the city's canal district. I have used it in the past with the likes of Wendy, Abby, and Jasey Rae, but Mandy and I went further down the canal. The crowds were much more sparse down where we picked.

Mandy sat up on the stone wall bordering the canal and we began her set. Of course we got about a dozen photos in again and a few kids came by to look at the ducks and fish in the water below. One girl literally walked right up and stood next to Mandy's feet - I'm talking only a few inches away. So yes, we had to stop again.

It became a running joke all day that whenever Mandy and I shoot people just flock around us. Does it happen with my other models, yes, but as much and for as long as Mandy's shoots? Not really. Guess that happens when you pick tourist-heavy locations.

The kids would eventually leave and we went back to shooting. Once again I had her stick her feet out and I just snapped countless shots as she moved her feet into various poses. It rounded out the set to the number of photos I wanted and then we decided to wrap up - well, the shoot that is.

In the weeks leading up to the shoot Mandy promised I'd get to give her a foot rub for my birthday. I already told her I was jealous that she had gotten one from the lady at the nail salon first, but I was holding her to our agreement. She laughed, but did just that. She looked over her photos and I gave her feet some more pampering before we decided to head back home.

Although neither set we planned was done, we will keep the ideas on the back burner - they're too good not to. I told Mandy we certainly have to find some more time to shoot again this summer and she agreed.
