The featured set in this final update of the Melani's March to 1K event. On March 7, 2018 the first update of " Melani's March to 1K " was published to Soles of Silk . The four week long event saw, for the first time in site history, the same model appear in four consecutive updates. The idea for this event came to me late last year. I was thinking of a way to get a few extra sets of both Melani and Mindee onto the site in 2018. Melani shot 21 sets for me in 2017. She's been a regular update ever since her April 12, 2017 debut, having 510 photos on the site before this event even began. She now sits at 811, leaving her 189 from joining the 1K Club (1,000 photos). This will make her the fastest model in site history to join the 1K Club. As for Mindee, more on her in a bit. Two weeks ago the Soles of Silk Instagram account ( @SolesofSilk ) hit 30,000 followers. That number is double what the account had at this time last year. Things have really taken off, which sees me fielding more questions and comments than ever before. Overall, the majority of people I interact with on social media are good people. They enjoy the photos and models I post and wish to share that with me. I have always liked hearing from people and that is happening more so now that ever before. Then... there is the other side of the story. With this increase of followers I have begun to field more ignorant and lazy people than ever before. Some take zero effort to know anything about me, or my site. They'll ask me questions that are clearly stated in my profile, or in some cases, will ask me the same information again and again over the course of weeks. It's been a while since I last published a "Would Love to Shoot" blog entry, here on the Soles of Silk Blog . With that being said, however, during the last few months I have met a handful of wonderful women that I think would make for great muses for my camera. I have even talked to all three of them about shooting one day. With two of these models within reasonable driving distance, I'm really hoping to make a shoot with both them happen at some point here in 2018. With the third, should our paths cross, I'd love to meet up and do some photos. If you are new to this blog series, understand that these are in no way confirming that a shoot will take place. Last month, on February 16, I published the blog, " Dream Duos #6 - Alice & Maya " to this blog. I pretty much knew this pairing was a foregone conclusion, but still, it was a dream! Now, it's become a reality. A few hours ago I met up with both Alice and Maya to do their first ever team up. We set some lofty goals to shoot four sets today, but we got a late start, shot the shit, ordered some pizza, and ended up with only two sets. Still, the two sets were ones that I loved and know you will too! People have been asking for tickling, so Alice & Maya put these feathers to use. This set will be Melani's first during Melani's March to 1K. I like to give credit where it is due. Last year Melani was a huge addition to Soles of Silk . Only 18 at the time (turned 19 this month), she quickly fell in love with shooting after her April 12, 2017 debut. It didn't take her long to catch on and begin to see just how cute her little size 6 feet truly were. Many of you were a huge part of that with all your positive comments and likes on the Soles of Silk social media accounts, mainly on Instagram ( @SolesofSilk ). Many of her photos reach over 1,000 likes whenever I post them at this point. Now, however, it's time to focus on another 1,000. Sitting at 510 photos at the time of writing this, Melani has so many more sets waiting to be published.
