Back in 2013 I began a blog series that reviewed all of the  Wu's Feet Links  feature model galleries up to that point. Due to the time and dedication that I put into all of these features, I decided it would be a good idea to add a new entry to the series each and every time one of my models is featured. Yesterday Jasey Rae and I met up to shoot the July 2018 Wu's Feet Links feature set (see blog: " Wednesday's Shoot - Jasey Rae "). The original plan was to get in two sets, but due to circumstances, we only got to do the one. Since we planned on shooting on back-to-back days, we figured we'd just bump that second set's theme to Thursday instead. What was the theme for Thursday, you ask? Well, it's one you actually just saw. Last week, on Friday, Mindee and I met up to do a shoot themed to a certain emoji that carries an adult connotation - the eggplant. On Wednesday afternoon, Jasey Rae and I managed to escape work for a few hours and shoot one doozy of a set! And in just three days, everyone, members and non-members alike, will get to enjoy this set. Why, you ask? Well, today's set will serve as the July 2018 Wu's Feet Links feature. I will have a blog feature detailing this set, and what it means to me, in the days to come as well. In this blog though, let's go over some of the basics of how the shoot went. I'll save the background, lead up, and fun little tidbits for blog I always write accompanying my feature sets. Jasey and I ran out of work at 1 p.m. on Wednesday. We both had to be back in a few hours, but we knew we'd have plenty of time to get the set in, as long as things went according to plan. That almost didn't happen, however! After having my first four shoots this week not happen (see blog: " Heat Waves, Video Cards, Blisters, & Car Accidents... Oh My! "), it felt so nice to finally have one of my models baring her feet for me. That model was none other than Abby , the one who started it all! It's been three years since our last shoot, and although we only did one set today, it was long overdue and came out amazing. Audrey was the 100th model to debut on Soles of Silk since 2004. Amber . Cierra . Lauryn . Lisa Tyler . Madison . Maria . Mindee . Sue Lovely . Those eight models bared their feet for me when I didn't have a site, just a vision back in 2004 of what I wanted Soles of Silk to be. Other models would follow shortly thereafter and over the years, dozens more have kicked off their shoes, got their feet nice and sweaty, stepped in some messy substances, and all around, had a fun time showing off their feet for you.  With the June 6, 2018 update a major milestone was reached.  Audrey and her adorable size 9 feet debuted, making her the 100th* model in just under 14 years to shoot for Soles of Silk. After seeing so many feet of all shapes and sizes, I was still just as happy to be in front of Audrey, watching her discover how pretty her feet truly are. In a set with her Harry Potter books and socks, Jasey Rae has now joined the 1K Club. This year will be the year that the 1K Club (1,000) sees several new members added to its roster. Up until this week, the 1K Club had consisted of 14 models, with Alice being the most recent addition in June 2017 (see blog: " 1K Club - Alice's Footography "). On the April 11, 2018 update, Jasey Rae became the 15th member and it's time to celebrate this fun loving friend of mine.  Jasey is the first of at least four models who will be joining the 1K Club this year. Both Kaycee and Emerald are one set away each. Melani is 189 photos shy, with a ton of content yet to come, so she's a lock too.  Those three aren't quite there yet, however. Jasey is. The featured set in this final update of the Melani's March to 1K event. On March 7, 2018 the first update of " Melani's March to 1K " was published to Soles of Silk . The four week long event saw, for the first time in site history, the same model appear in four consecutive updates. The idea for this event came to me late last year. I was thinking of a way to get a few extra sets of both Melani and Mindee onto the site in 2018. Melani shot 21 sets for me in 2017. She's been a regular update ever since her April 12, 2017 debut, having 510 photos on the site before this event even began. She now sits at 811, leaving her 189 from joining the 1K Club (1,000 photos). This will make her the fastest model in site history to join the 1K Club. As for Mindee, more on her in a bit.
