I was so excited for the three day span of Sunday, May 31 through Tuesday, June 2. I set up shoots with three different models, one of which was to fall on my birthday (today). Well, things didn't exactly go as planned and in the grand scheme of things, but what I was able to shoot, I am very happy with. Sunday was supposed to mark the return of Amber to Soles of Silk . She hasn't posed since 2004 - back before I had even launched the site. She was one of my original eight models. I was so happy to be having her back. Sadly, she texted me from work on Sunday to tell me her coworker called out due to an emergency and she wouldn't be getting off until late that evening. Amber even got her toes done with a cute, simple design, that I loved (see below). Oh well, good things come to those who wait. It's been 11 years now, what a few more weeks? Amber's wanted to smash a banana split the last time we shot. It's been over 10 years. Yes, read that again, "over 10 years." That's the last time I did photos of my friend, Amber . Amber was one of Soles of Silk's original debut models and someone who also posed for me back when I ran The 10 Little Piggies. Well, she's coming back! I recently reached out to Amber on social media, but didn't get any response. I asked her how things were doing and told her I'd love for her to return to the site, if she was up for it. I tried that approach a couple of times, but never heard back. I figured she had posed so long ago that perhaps this was something she wasn't up to doing anymore. Thankfully, that wasn't the case. I ran into Amber at work last week. She also used to work there all those years ago. That's how we met. Unfortunately, I was very busy at the time she came in, but she said, "I swear I'm not ignoring you!"

For those who don't know, I used to run a few free sites in my college years. I started out showing off my artistic photography revolving around the female foot, but as time progressed and I began learning more about web design, I started to add pages for each of the girls who I shot to the site. For about seven years now I have been know to many of my friends as the "foot guy."
