One of the many upcoming sets to feature Mindee. muse (myo͞oz) noun - a woman, or a force personified as a woman, who is the source of inspiration for a creative artist It goes with out saying that Mindee has clearly been my muse for years. The first model, and still only model, to join the site's 3K Club (3,000 photos), has just become the first model to enter the site's 4K Club. Sitting at 4,026 photos at the time of this blog, the next closest model to her is Cierra , who has 2,350. That's a lead of 1,676. Heck, 85 models on the site don't even have 1,676 total photos. So yeah, that definition of a muse certainly applies to Mindee, in regards to this site. With this week's update, Mindee became the first model to join the 4K Club (4,000 photos). Couple that with the fact that it's been a while since I've run a contest on Soles of Silk and now you have the first ever, Mindeemania contest! It was great taking a look back through the site's history through old columns. For those of you who frequent this blog and/or Soles of Silk , over the course of the last few months you know that I've been busy transferring columns from inside the site's membership section over here to the blog. Well, that task is finally complete. The biggest reason for the transfer was the fact that I didn't like having my writings in two different places. From 2004 the start of 2013, all my writings were placed in the Columns section on Soles of Silk. When I found out that I could back date blog entries on Blogger , that's when I got the idea to go ahead and do the transfer. I thought it would be nice to have all my writings in one area. It would also make my site's eventual redesign more organized as I could do away with the now defunct Columns section. When that happens, there will just be a link to the blog instead. Back in July, Mindee was able to get her sister-in-law, Rilynn , to model for the site. We shoot twice during that same week and I came away with a solo set, a set of her along with Noelle , and then a set of Rilynn with both Noelle and Mindee. Up until this point, only Rilynn's solo set has been published to the site. Her duo and trio sets will be making their way onto Soles of Silk in the months to come. Even with those sets looming, I still wanted to meet up and shoot a few more sets with her. Luckily for me, Rilynn was free today for a few hours and I came away with three more sets. We met up around 10 a.m. at a Target to pick up some pantyhose. One of her sets, which turned out to be the last one we did today, would involve a very interesting pair of heels and I wanted to have her in pantyhose as well, but more on that later. As September drew to a close I began sending out texts to a handful of the girls who shoot for Soles of Silk . I sent them a schedule of my open dates and asked them to see if they matched up to where we could squeeze in a few last minute sets. A couple of girls got back to me, others did not. Someone who I didn't really need to schedule, however, was Alice . Nope. Alice has shot for me three times this year, doing eight total sets (see listing below). Last night after work I ran out to a few stores to grab a few things needed for today's shoot. Those things were: a planter, shovel, and ingredients to make dirt cake. Yes, I was finally going to do the theme that has eluded me for all these years in a food play set. It's something I've talked about doing for ages and Kelsey was coming over the next day to do it. When I woke up this morning I decided to go ahead and begin preparing the dirt cake. The directions claimed it could be made and served immediately. I, however, didn't want to chance things not coming out right so I began making it a few hours before Kelsey was set to arrive. Luckily for me too as I ended up having to back out to the grocery store to buy some more ingredients. I didn't have enough to fill the large planter.
