Foot Fetishism - Mainstream Media?

The blog below was originally published in Soles of Silk's Column section. It was archived and then republished here in 2016.

I'll be the first person to admit that I have been way too busy to watch much TV lately. But one thing I have noticed when I do watch it is that more and more foot related items are out there than ever before. I've also been reading about things others have seen on forums and in chat.

A few weeks ago Wu, from Wu's Feet Links, posted some video clips from an episode of WWE Raw where a male wrestlers has been given a foot fetish as part of his story line. A female wrestler by the name of Lita, proudly showed off her bare feet for this wrestler who was about to take them into his mouth. Of course, after watching wrestling religiously for more than a decade only to recently lose some interest, it figures they'd do something like this when I'm not catching every episode.

WWE, however, has catered to us foot fetishists in a few other instances too. A few years ago a commercial for 1-800 CALL ATT had the owner's daughter, Stephanie McMahon, in a robe sitting back with her feet in Carrot Top's hands. He was saying something about this little piggy going to Wrestlemania. I loved that commercial and actually have a few stills from it printed out and hanging here in my room.

On top of those two instances, there have been several times where the cameras have panned along the likes of Stacy Keibler's and Trish Stratus' feet in a sexy pair of sandals before making its way up their legs. Those were always nice little segments between the wrestling.

Another foot fetish highlight reel is none other than Britney Spears. Say what you will about her or her feet, but this girl HAS to be into her feet or know someone who is. She's forever going barefoot and talking about her feet — even saying she loves having her toes sucked on. My kind of girl!

Speaking of toe sucking, has anyone seen the segment of Jenny McCarthy holding "mock" interviews where she makes men suck on her toes? I think it aired on the E! Channel. Jenny is another one who always seems to be showing off her feet. I always seem to be wanting to look too! Wu posted this clip in his forum as well, so if you haven't seen it, be sure to check it out.

It is also rumored that Howard Stern might also be a foot man. We all know that Quentin Tarantino is and I've even heard that Ludacris might be as well.

Commercials haven't been exempt from this newly found love for women's feet either. A deodorant commercial I saw several weeks ago showed two bored girlfriends in a kitchen with two boyfriends in a backroom watching a game of football, acting like total idiots. At one point one of the boyfriends comes into the kitchen celebrating something that happened in the game and when she smells him, she enters a dream state and starts seeing all kinds of romantic images of the both of them. One of those images is of him on the floor below her painting her toenails. It only lasts for a split second, but someone like you or I are sure to see it.

Another commercial, one that is a few years old, but still airs at times shows kinds at a beach talking about not smoking or doing drugs. At two points during this commercial, the camera pans on one of the girl's dirty bare soles.

It's nice to see all this foot fetishism finally breaking into the mainstream media here and there. I've often thought it would be nice to not have so many people think of my love for feet to be "different" or "strange," but then, if it were mainstream, it wouldn't be so special. Which do you prefer?
