Over the last several months I have made regular mention that some of the sets that I've been shooting were slated to be a part of something big in 2019. I was purposely vague with details because I wanted everything to remain a secret until my plan was put into action. Now, with the first update of 2019, it's time to share the details of this plan - a plan I've been working on for two years. While shooting in 2017 I began to realize that the site's 15th Anniversary would soon be upon us. I began to toss around ideas for things to do when 2019 arrived. If you read " 15 Year Celebration - Remakes " you saw that I made reference to the original eight sets that were found on Soles of Silk when it launched on December 29, 2004. I had toyed with the idea of remaking all eight of these sets as part of the site's 15th Anniversary Celebration, but I felt that a number of those sets didn't really feature any memorable theme or location. I wanted people to be able to look at a set, and if they've been following the site for years, be like, "Hey, I remember when <insert model> did that same thing a few years ago." At the end of every year I have to make some hard choices. Each December, it's become an annual tradition for me to pick my 10 favorite sets from that year. It's never easy. Publishing at least one set per week means I'm leaving off some good sets that just missed the cut. By no means are those sets bad, it's just I had to pick 10. This year also saw numerous weeks where two sets were published, so that made it even tougher with more sets to chose from. Unlike the annual Star Models blogs where I talk about all the sets a model shot during a calendar year, this blog focuses on the ones published. Some were indeed shot in 2018, but others I've been waiting to share for a year or more now. It's not always easy getting all the sets onto the site. I have so many models and themes to rotate through each week, sometimes the good ones sit there just waiting to make their big splash.
