It was only six months ago I was writing a blog about reaching 14,000 followers on the Soles of Silk Instagram page ( @SolesofSilk ). I was so surprised to see the account grow so much at that point, but it's only grown more and more since that time. At the end of last week I was watching the follower count on Instagram sit on 17.9K for several days. I was excited waiting to see it switch over to 18K. I even sent Mindee and Alice a screenshot of the follower count and they were both wanting to see it increase. I then posted a few random photos of Mindee and Kelsey just to engage people, along with the standard update fair I do on a weekly basis. In the grand scheme of things, I'm not a follower slut, but reaching the 18K mark was still a badge of honor. I've never done a paid ad, or begged people for follows. I just do what I do and hope you all enjoy it. The fact that so many people want to follow the site and see all the models, makes me very proud. Soles of

Now that 2016 is in the books, it's time to look at what's ahead for 2017. I compiled a little "Wish List," if you will, of things I'd like to see happen this year. Some of them are shoots, but not all. There are a lot of behind the scenes things that go on with maintaining a site that I'd also like to focus on. One of those models was Kelsey .  In 2016 I made an effort to schedule more photo time with Kelsey as she's someone I've wanted to have a larger presence on the site. "Are they too easy?" I wonder in my head. Oftentimes I end up seeing that I was wrong on both accounts. Questions I thought no one would get, everyone nails. The ones I thought would be a piece of cake, people miss out on. It's crazy! Just the other day at work I was talking to Abby about the contest questions and she thought I might have made things on the harder side. Well, now that some entries have been coming in, that doesn't look to be the case. People are scoring high across the board. They're also doing really well in the four and five point question areas. The year of 2016 will forever be remembered as one of my busier years when it came to my life outside of Soles of Silk . I've been pulled in many directions between work, Wu's Feet Links , and just finding some time for peace and quiet. Still, I attempted to jump into the swing of things early this year for the site, but was met with some resistance from Mother Nature.
