Sunday, December 29, 2024 marked a huge milestone for Soles of Silk - that being 20 years online. I began work on the site back in 2004 as a passion project after running several free sites in prior years. Little did I know, so many of you would love the content I shoot so much that I'd still be here doing this 20 years later. In the weeks and months to come, I will be sharing a series of blogs titled the "20 Years of Soles of Silk Retrospective," looking back through the countless memories I've made along the way.  I ask you to join me in celebrating these memories, none of which were possible without all of you and the 114 different models who shared their feet with us. In 20 years my camera has focused on 228 soles and 1,140 wiggling toes. Last week, on Monday, January 6, 2025, I was supposed to do my first shoot of 2025. Those plans fell through, however, as Mother Nature decided to send a snow storm our way. With the crazy 1-3 inches to 8-9 inches snow predictions in forecast leading to the day of the storm, we decided to postpone. Thankfully, everyone involved was able to shoot the following week, which happened to be yesterday. For this shoot Leah would be shooting once again, but she wouldn't be alone. Her friend, Mika , would be joining us and making her debut. Our plan was for Leah to shoot a set solo while Mika looked on, but some last minute schedule conflicts had Leah arriving late. Instead of waiting, Mika and I decided to get her solo set in while we waited.  Set 1: Suck My Toes For Mika's first set she did one that paid homage to a set Leah shot back in December 2024. The most recent model to make her way into the 1K Club (1,000 photos) just so happens to be the most recent one to make her way into the 2K Club (2,000 photos) too. Leah took just over one year's time to join eight other models from the Soles of Silk roster to reach the 2,000 photos mark. She would have been able to do it in a year's time if we didn't wait to shoot her most recent content until the end of 2024. Over the last two years Leah has become one of my regular models, earning herself two Star Model accomplishments with a second place finish in 2023 and a third place in 2024 . She's shot some amazing sets during that time, but before we talk about those, let's first take a look at all the models who have earned a place in the Soles of Silk 2K Club.
