Warm Weather Cram

I'm so happy to have Sara Swirls back on the site this week. It's been too long! The blog below was originally published in  Soles of Silk's  Column section. It was archived and then republished here in 2016. It seems like the weather lately can't make up its mind on whether it wants to be cold or warm. Some days I've walked out in a jacket and then I go and get a little bit of a sun burn on my neck at the beach yesterday. Crazy stuff. But one thing is inevitable, the weather is going to get cold here in Maryland before long and that means I lose a lot of photo opportunities outdoors. So right now I am cramming in as many models, new and existing, before the winter sets in. This week marks a return of Sara Swirls , who hasn't had a gallery update in some time. I was able to meet with her recently and get a few sets in. It was great to have her back and those size 8's are still as tender as ever! Next week is the debut of Andrea , my former next door ne

Layla - Footography

Layla's debut set was an instant hit with both fans and members. The blog below was originally published in  Soles of Silk's  Column section. It was archived and then republished here in 2016. Back in June I did an All- Madison featured update. This month I have decided to do the same with another regular model here on Soles of Silk. That model is Layla . Layla quickly became a hit on this site when I posted her first set on the site, which was her Fells Point Tugboat Set. Her dirty feet being bared in a public place drove people insane and people demanded more of her. I had shot three sets that day, but with her demand and my enjoyment in shooting her caused me to meet up with her several more times to get more sets in, each time getting some awesome shots. With all of her great shoots, it was getting hard to pick which ones to post first having so many in waiting and having to stick them in between updates with new and other models. Here is a look at Layla's Footog

Indian on the Path

Wendy and I had someone observing our shoots for most of the afternoon. The blog below was originally published in  Soles of Silk's  Column section. It was archived and then republished here in 2016. This week had one of the strangest things that has ever happened to me while I was out doing a photo shoot for Soles of Silk. I was meeting up with Wendy this past Sunday to take some more photos and her boyfriend had suggested a local park for a possible location for its nice scenery. Wendy and I took the advice and headed out to the park. Once we parked we began walking a trail back to a small waterfall that she though would be perfect for her first set. Well, on the way back to the waterfall I look up and see a wooden spear with colorful feathers and what looked to be a squirrel's tail attached to it. Then I noticed the person holding it. A white male with a feathered headband, rawhide vest, blue jeans and tennis shoes was standing there as if he were almost monitoring

Bethany at the Beach

My two day trip started with doing several photo shoots of Molly and her size 11 feet. The blog below was originally published in  Soles of Silk's  Column section. It was archived and then republished here in 2016. As you read last week, this week I went to the beach for several days and got to spend time and do photographs with the ever-so-popular Molly . We had an awesome place to shoot and we also ran out onto the beach for a few shoots as well. You'll be seeing some of those photos soon. But I had an unexpected bonus to the two day photo trip. Molly had mentioned shooting a friend of her's named Bethany .  "Bethany is shy," Molly told me beforehand so I didn't know if that meant she probably wouldn't do it. Well, the first night Molly had called and asked Bethany to come over and hang out with us in the hot tub. Bethany took her up on the offer and when she came by, I prayed Bethany would agree to pose for the site someday. Little would I kn

Size Matters... And Not Shoe Size

Next week we not only welcome Bethany to the site, but a new, larger photo size. The blog below was originally published in  Soles of Silk's  Column section. It was archived and then republished here in 2016. Up until now the images you have seen on Soles of Silk have been set at an 800 x 600 pixels resolution. Having a 19 inch monitor, the vertical photos fill the screen exactly. The horizontal ones, although the same size, leave a lot of the monitor's width empty. I have only had one person thus far express unhappiness with the resolution, but as of next week I am going to increase the photo resolution of the site's photos to 1024 x 768. The new file size will begin with the site's newest sole mate, Bethany . Bethany is this week's (Aug. 16, 2006) coming soon preview. Not a bad way to bring in the change. The coming soon previews are actually set to the size you will be seeing as of next week, so be sure to take a look. Join   Soles of Silk  today to see
