I know I've said this thousands of times now, but I absolutely love getting to shoot with Mindee . She's been shooting with me for 11 years now and I honestly feel like her sets have been getting better as the years go by. Each and every shoot is always a little adventure, full of good times, laughs, and of course, two of the cutest feet that have been in front of my camera. All that said, today's shoot wasn't exactly planned that far in advance. The original plan was to shoot last Sunday, but with the hurricane just off the east coast, it threw the weather for a loop. So yesterday I asked my manager if there was any way I could miss my afternoon shift. Mindee was open for a few hours, as was Cierra , but more on her later. Thankfully, my manager was fine with me just coming in for the evening and my plans with Mindee were set. In the days leading up to shooting with Mindee today she mentioned that Cierra would have a couple of hours open if I wanted to shoot her too. I've been itching to get these two back together again after having such fun shooting them together back in June (see blog: " Sunday's Shoot: Part 2 - Cierra & Mindee "). Mindee and I had just finished up doing two solo sets today when we were on our way to meet up with Cierra. When the three of us arrived at the park we knew we didn't have a bunch of time to shoot. I had my fingers crossed that I'd be able to squeeze in a solo set of Cierra after her and Mindee shot one together. That didn't work out, however. Yesterday Riley and I shot a workout themed set during a light drizzle (see blog: " Wednesday's Shoot - Riley "). Since it was calling for rain all day today, we decided to play it by ear on whether we'd do our planned set during our break today. When I woke up it wasn't looking good. There was a steady rain fall with no immediate signs that it would end. As a matter of fact, they're calling for rain over the next few days with a hurricane headed our way at the tail end of it. So yeah, I wasn't sure what Riley would think about shooting today. After I got to work I was able to talk with her. She wasn't keen on the idea of getting wet again. She didn't get soaked yesterday, but we were in the drizzle long enough to get pretty damp. The rain today was much heavier. Add in that it was also chilly, and Riley was worried that it would be miserable. Throughout our afternoon shift we tossed around some ideas to see if we could still make this happ

A few weeks ago I was finally able to shoot my friend Riley for Soles of Silk  (see blog: " Thursday's Shoot - Riley ). I was super excited to have her in front of my camera that day and ever since, I've been just as excited to make it happen again. Today I was able to do just that. Once again Riley and I squeezed in a set during our break between split shifts at work. We planned our idea and location in advance because we'd only have a couple of hours to shoot and get something to eat. Today's theme, a work out. We drove to some basketball courts after our afternoon shift ended. It had been raining off and on all morning and afternoon and hadn't yet stopped when we arrived. We debated on eating first to see if the rain would stop. We decided not to, however, because we didn't want it to start raining harder and not get in any photos at all.
